Dowwwwwwn the stretch they come!
With just nine games left in the regular season, the Ottawa Senators have put themselves in a damn good spot. There’s work left to do obviously but with a seven point lead over the teams in pursuit and eight of their final nine games taking place within the friendly confines of the CTC, the stage has been set.
Now it’s up to the Senators to make the most of the opportunity. It starts on Tuesday night against the Buffalo Sabres.
As the Senators have found out on three separate occasions already this season, the Sabres are not a team you can take lightly. And even more so lately. They’ve won four of their last five games including wins over the Winnipeg Jets and the Washington Capitals along the way. They’ve scored a ridiculous 27 goals over that five game stretch.
Angus Crookshank has been recalled again and participated in the morning skate. Both Brady Tkachuk and Nick Jensen did not. Travis Green just met with the media and confirmed that Tkachuk is sitting this one out with an “upper body” injury suffered during that weird collision against Pittsburgh.

Puck drops at 7:08 PM at The Tire. The game is available on TSN5, TSN1200 and on all your favourite illegal streaming platforms. You could also head on down to the rink and cheer these guys on in person.
There’s one last thing that I need you to know and it is of critical importance…
Go. Sens. Go.
