Three steps forward and one step back.
With a disappointing 5-3 loss to the New York Islanders on Friday night, the Ottawa Senators saw their modest three-game winning streak snapped and fell back to .500 in the process. The house is suddenly on fire again and the fan base is on edge.
So while the team has won four of their last six games and is showing signs of turning this thing around, Friday’s loss took the wind out of their sails a little bit.
The Ottawa Senators look to bounce back on home ice as they host Matthew Tkachuk and the Florida Panthers.
Just an optional game day skate for the Senators this morning so the lineup will remain a bit of a mystery until game time. If yesterday’s practice is any indication, there could be a whole lotta tinkering in store up front. Here’s how the Senators lined up at their last full practice.
Tkachuk-Stützle-Giroux
Joseph-Norris-Batherson
Kubalik-Chartier- Tarasenko
Kelly-Highmore-MacEwen
Sanderson-Zub
Chychrun-Bernard-Docker
Brannstrom-Hamonic
No word on a starting goalie yet but it sounds like Joonas Korpisalo is healthy and ready to go. We shall see.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:08 PM at The Tire. The game is available on Sportsnet and TVA Sports while TSN1200 has the radio feed. Our ol’ buddy Bort will be serving up the illegal internet streams a little closer to game time.
And now, a Cyber Monday special you have to see to believe – it’s the HEAD2HEAD table and it’s FREE.
