It’s probably pretty safe to say that no team in the history of the National Hockey League has had a more dramatic 4-5-0 start.
The Ottawa Senators have had some encouraging moments in the first 24 days of the regular season but they have been mostly drowned out by injuries, incessant off-ice drama, endless fan angst and a handful of ugly losses.
Woah, hang on…It’s only been 24 days?!
The Sens look to get back on track as they host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night in Ottawa.
With both Ridly Greig and Mark Kastelic hurt last game and likely to miss some time, the Senators are again turning to Belleville for help. It is expected that Roby Jarventie and Zack MacEwen will be recalled from the American Hockey League.
Here’s how the Senators lined up at the morning skate.
Tkachuk-Stutzle-Joseph
Kubalik-Norris-Tarasenko
Batherson-Jarventie-Giroux
Kelly-Chartier-MacEwen

Joonas Korpisalo gets the start.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:08 PM in Ottawa. The game is available on Sportsnet One and TSN1200. Streaming is an option but so are discounted tickets to see the game in person.
Wondering how the Senators match up against the Lightning but looking for something more than “we’re dooooooooooooooooomed” but less than expected goals for per 60 minutes? The HEAD2HEAD table has you covered.
