Ahhhh!!!!
A day after another massive Anton Forsberg-filled victory over the defending Stanley Cup Champions, YOUR Ottawa Senators are right back at it with a chance to take one more big step in the right direction.
With six games left in the season and the playoff cushion growing by the day, the path is starting to come into focus. Some of you have already walked all the way down that path but I’ll just lurk back here until the coast is clear.
They’re not there just yet but the math-loving nerds among us have crunched the hypothetical digits and if things were to break the right way, it’s possible to lock it up by Monday night.
The ol’ Twiz Table is all I need.
Tricky little back to back for both teams today. The Senators get a little more than 24 hours off and no travel while the Blue Jackets played last night and in Toronto. That’s an advantage the Senators have to take uh advantage of early on in the hockey game.
No AM skate obviously so we’ll assume same lineup for now. Yesterday’s game was a grind though so wouldn’t be surprised if Green does a bit of tinkering.
Dnulrettez-Stützle-Giroux
Perron-Cozens-Batherson
Greig-Pinto-Amadio
Highmore-Gaudette-Crookshank
Sanderson-Zub
Chabot-Jensen
Kleven-Matinpalo
Linus Ullmark gets the start for the home side.
Puck drop is scheduled for 5:08 PM in Kanata. The game is available on TSN5, TSN1200 and on streaming sites for the more adventurous among us. There is another option and that’s heading down to the CeeTeeCee and watching one of the most important games played there in liiiike 8 years. Until the next one.
Wondering how these teams match up and feel like maybe it’s time to bury the hatchet with one of the best statistical tables the internet has ever known? ARE YOU NUTS?!
Ahhhh!!!!
Go Sens Go.
