Game Day – Senators Host a Kraken at the CTC

The Ottawa Senators are at a point in their trajectory as a team where moral victories really shouldn’t be enough. They just need to win more hockey games.

With that said, last night’s loss in New York had to be one of the most impressive efforts in a loss in recent memory. They went into one of the toughest buildings in the league against a team that many people view as a Stanley Cup contender and they skated circles around ’em. Like, from the moment the puck was dropped until those desperate final seconds, the Senators dominated the Rangers. An elite goalie was the difference but as far as regulation losses go, that was as good as it gets. If they can turn in efforts like that on a regular basis, this is a playoff team. Full stop.

The Ottawa Senators look to build on last night’s performance on Broadway when they host whatever the hell a Seattle Kraken (Krakens?) is on Saturday night in Ottawa.

No morning skate for the Senators today so we’ll have to wait until after the REDBLACKS glorious playoff victory to find out if there are any changes to the lineup. We’ll assume steady as she goes for now though.

Would usually expect Anton Forsberg in this spot but Linus Ullmark did have a nice leisurely Friday night back there. We’ll see.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:08 PM in beautiful Kanata, Ontario. The game is on CityTV, which is apparently still a thing, and on TSN1200. If you’re the adventurous type, illegal internet streaming is an option too. Just be safe, okay.

If you’ve made it this far and you still feel like something is missing in your Game Day experience, maybe the HEAD2HEAD table can fill in the blanks.
