The last four Saturdays have been rough.
A night that has long been reserved for Sens hockey was instead entirely Sensless. The NHL, in its infinite wisdom, thought it would be a good idea to have the Senators go an entire month without a Saturday game. Couple Sundays, a stunning amount of Mondays but not a single Sens game on Saturday night.
This forced many of us to find other ways to pass the time. Netflix, board games, accidentally watching a Leafs game, conversation with human beings- it was a weird month.
But we’re back- The Ottawa Senators finally return to Saturday night!
No game day skate so we’ll have to wait until DJ Smith meets with the media around 4:20 PM. Based on what we saw at practice yesterday, it seems like there may be some lineup juggling.
Both Colin White and Mike Reilly missed practice. White is day to day with an upper-body injury while Reilly is expected to play. Looks like Erik Brannstrom will draw back in too.
We’ll confirm later this afternoon.

No official word on a starting goalie but this seems like a good time to get Matt Murray back in there.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:08 PM. Although the Montreal Canadiens are planning a pregame ceremony to honour pregame ceremonies so it may be closer to Sunday. The game is available on CBC, Sportsnet, CityTV (??) and TVA. For the more adventurous among us, rumour has it there will be a dizzying array of poor quality streams available across the World Wide Webb Simpson.
Voici la table tête2tête.
