A game day post at 6:00 PM? Seems fairly lazy, right?
But when you consider the late start and the fact that today is actually a holiday, some might say this Game Day post is actually right on time. Early even. Either way, it’s here and littered with spelling mistakes and that’s what matters.
The Ottawa Senators travel to Seattle to take on the Krakens? To challenge a Kraken? To faceoff against Krakens. Anyway, the Ottawa Senators are definitely playing tonight.
With just seven games left in their season, the Sens don’t have a whole lot left to play for. Although it really doesn’t feel that way because the vibes around the team are up the roof right now.
The young players are dominating, rival fan bases are foaming at the mouth with jealously because of our lovable 26th place squad, the post-game helmet videos are the talk of the hockey world and every day another hilarious/amazing social media story breaks.
What’s not to love?!
One change to the lineup as Ottawa-native Zach Senyshyn makes his Sens debut. Senyshyn, a first round pick in 2015, was acquired in the trade that sent Josh Brown to the Boston Bruins. He has appeared in 13 games with the BSens, putting up just two assists. It’s a great opportunity for the young forward and a chance for the Senators to get a closer look at the now 25-year old forward. Senyshyn appeared in 14 games over three seasons with the Bruins.
Here’s how the Senators are expected to line up for this one.
Tkachuk-Norris-Brown
Formenton-Stützle-Batherson
Gaudette-Tierney-Senyshyn
Kelly-Gambrell-Watson
Del Zotto-Hamonic
Brannstrom-Zub
Holden-Zaitsev
Anton Forsberg gets another start for the Senators.
Puck drop is scheduled for 10:08 PM in Seattle so pace yourselves accordingly. The game is on TSN5 and on the radio at TSN1200. You can also follow along in the comment section below but I should warn you, SensChirp After Dark can get a little spicy.
Wondering who or what a Kraken is and how our Senators may match-up against this apparent NHL hockey squad? Well do I have the table for you.
