If there is one thing we can now say with absolutely certainly, it’s that the Ottawa Senators are not the worst team in the league.
That label belongs to the Ducks of Anaheim and based on Friday’s game, it ain’t close.
The Senators were desperate for a win and the lowly Ducks were just what the doctor ordered. Ottawa dominated that game from start to finish and dare I say, looked like a confident team along the way.
They’ll look to build off that strong effort when they wrap up their California road trip in Los Angeles.
No game day skate for the Senators today so we’ll have to wait until later in the day to find out if there are any changes to the lineup. Sounds like it will be the same group as Friday in Anaheim but we’ll find out for sure later.

Puck drop is scheduled for 10:30 PM. Only the strongest among us will see this one occur. With Canada playing at 11 and a full day of NFL football looming, remember, it’s a marathon not a sprint.
Also, I’m writing this from the bar.
And now, a closer look at this evening’s match-up via something I call the HEAD2HEAD table. I call it that because it shows the statistics of the combatants that are going head to head and it’s a table.
