These are tough times for the Ottawa Senators.
After an off-season filled with hope and optimism, the Sens have stumbled out of the gate. And that prolonged stumble has very quickly put their entire season at risk.
If they’re going to get this thing turned around, the answer is pretty simple.
Do that and they’ll be just fine.
Just an optional skate for the Senators this morning so we’ll have to stay up until the wee hours of the night to confirm a couple lineup related mysteries.
Thomas Chabot definitely won’t play but Shane Pinto might. Jacob Bernard-Docker is also out and is likely to miss the next month with a high ankle sprain. When it rains, it pours, as the ol’ saying goes. DJ Smith suggested there are other roster question marks too.
Let’s just assume Pinto plays because frankly, I don’t want to guess what a lineup looks like without another centre.
Tkachuk-Stützle-Batherson
DeBrincat-Brassard-Giroux
Motte-Pinto-Joseph
Kelly-Gambrell/Kastelic-Watson
Sanderson-Hamonic
Brannstrom-Zub
Holden-Larsson
Cam Talbot is the likely starter.
Puck drop is scheduled for like tomorrow, I guess. 10:38 PM, if you can believe it. The game is available on TSN5, TSN1200 or upon the world wide web.
Okay that’s enough from me. It’s time for the HEAD2HEAD table to do the talking.
