Game Day- Senators Begin Road Trip in Arizona

Later tonight, in a strange barn located somewhere in the state of Arizona, the Ottawa Senators will play.

While the venue itself will resemble the Cattle Castle the Senators once called home, it is in fact an NHL rink and this is in fact, a very important hockey game.

The Ottawa Senators begin a three-game road trip with a game against the slumping Arizona Coyotes.

With a lot going on today, I have decided to turn to Chat GPT for some help with today’s Game Day post.

First, a haiku about the Ottawa Senators.

Senators skate fast,
On ice of Canadian Tire,
Victory is near.

Huh okay, not bad. And naturally, a haiku about the Arizona Coyotes.

Desert pack hunts prey,
Arizona Coyotes on the prowl,
Nature’s fierce warriors.

Damn, we might be in trouble here. Okay, how about a nursery rhyme about SensChirp.

Oh SensChirp, so swell,
A website where hockey fans dwell,
News and rumours too,
For the Ottawa faithful, it’s true.

With tweets so fast, and thoughts so keen,
SensChirp delivers, it’s a hockey dream,
Analysis and banter, so fun and so smart.
SensChirp is the place, for hockey in your heart.

Yep, I’d say that about covers it.

DJ Smith met with the media in Arizona not long ago and it does sound like there’s going to be a little bit of shuffling at the top of the lineup after a couple clunkers against the Krakenz and the Predators. Here’s a best guess at how the Senators will line up for this one.

Tkachuk-Stützle-DeBrincat
Giroux-Pinto-Batherson
Kelly-Gambrell-Lucchini
Brassard-Kastelic-Watson

Chabot-Zub
Sanderson-Hamonic
Brannstrom-Holden

DJ Smith didn’t confirm a starting goalie but it would make sense to give Anton Forsberg a start.

Puck drop is scheduled for just after 9:00 PM in that weird shed in Arizona so, get some rest. The game is available on TSN5, RDS, TSN1200 and on shady streaming sites, if you dare.

Okay, ChatGPT. Let ’em know what’s next.

Numbers lined up neat,
Precise data in a table,
Fancy, yet so pure.
