Game Day- Senators Begin Lengthy Winning Streak vs. Sabres

There has been a lot of finger pointing over the last couple weeks.

Whether it’s coaching, execution, injuries or a truly unpleasant collection of all three, every fan has a theory on what has gone wrong with the Ottawa Senators during this recent and seemingly endless hiccup.

I’ll tell you what it is though. It’s not happening on the ice or in the locker room. It’s happening right here on this website and on Twitter and at the water cooler in offices around the city.

It’s the vibes.

When the vibes are good, the team is good. And when the vibes are bad, well you can see what happens. It’s not structure or bad luck or whatever other nonsense- it’s just the vibes. Or uh something like that. So, if you want to get this thing turned around, the power rests in your hands.

Think positively. Type supportively. Drink aggressively and dream with reckless abandon.

You, yes YOU, have the power to turn this season around. That’s your destiny calling….will you answer?

Gosh I hope they win tonight.

Here is the collection of players that will skate circles around the poor ol’ Sabres later tonight. The top nine is balanced and clearly capable of complete domination. The defence may not have many household names but every single one of them has skates and a hockey stick and a positive attitude. And that could make the difference.

Tkachuk-Stützle-Giroux
DeBrincat-Brassard-Joseph
Motte-Pinto-Batherson
Kelly-Kastelic-Watson

Sanderson-Hamonic
Brannstrom-Bernard Docker
Holden-Larsson

Anton Forsberg gets the start and victory in goal for the home side.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:08 PM. The Senators will have a lead by 7:10 PM. The 6th goal will enter the Sabres net some time just after 9:00 PM. If you would like to witness this domination, it is available on TSN5, TSN1200 and in-person at The Tire.
