Game Day- Senators Back at it vs. Oilers

No time to dwell on last night’s loss.

After being blanked on home ice against the Washington Capitals last night, the Senators are right back at it tonight against Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers.

After tonight, they’ll have a full three days off before returning to host Sidney Crosby and the Penguins.  With a tough week of practice looming, you would hope the team will come out with a little bit of desperation tonight.

No back to back excuse here either because the Oilers also played last night and had to travel.

Whether intentional or not, Guy Boucher comments last night and again today have fueled speculation surrounding Bobby Ryan’s last minute healthy scratch last night.  I’m in no way suggesting that Boucher is to blame for whatever the issue is but he had a couple opportunities to quiet the speculation and didn’t. In listening to his answers, you can tell he’s being extremely careful with his words.

Bobby Ryan was one of a handful of players on the ice for the optional morning skate and will play tonight. Freddy Claesson comes out of the line up to make room.  A best guess at tonight’s line up.
