Game Day – Road Trip Continues in Seattle

If there is one thing we’ve learned early in Jacques Martin’s latest tenure as Head Coach, it’s that change won’t come easy for this group.

While there have been encouraging moments, there have been a healthy amount of lows too. Not only are there some concerning signs in the team’s underlying numbers with Martin but there have been a handful of moments where the team looked downright awful. In fact, the first period against the Vancouver Canucks was as bad as the Sens have looked all year. Only marginally worse than a few days earlier against the New Jersey Devils actually.

The Ottawa Senators will look to right the ship a little bit when they continue their road trip in Seattle against a Kraken.

The Senators won’t skate until 2:30 PM in Seattle so we’ll have to wait a bit longer to confirm the lineup. Mathieu Joseph was back on the ice for practice yesterday but it doesn’t sound like he’ll return until next week.

Jacob Bernard-Docker is the odd man out for this one. Zack MacEwen is sick and also won’t play. Here’s how they lined up yesterday.

Tkachuk-Norris- Batherson
Tarasenko-Stützle-Giroux
Kubalik-Greig-Kelly
Smejkal-Kastelic-Crookshank

Sanderson-Brannstrom
Chabot-Zub
Chychrun-Hamonic

No word on a starter yet but Korpisalo is a safe bet.

Puck drop is scheduled for just after 10:00 PM in Seattle. While it was nice of the Senators to wrap up the last late start in just a single period, hoping this one lasts a little longer into the night. The game is available on TSN5, TSN1200 and streaming options should pop up in the comment section a little closer to game time.
