Last night, in an early 2-0 hole, it looked like the Ottawa Senators season was pretty much over.
But they found a way. Battled back against the Montreal Canadiens in an impressive road win. They’ll look to continue their winning ways on the road tonight against John Tavares and the New York Islanders.
Goes without saying at this point but this is another huge game for the Senators. They all are at this point. With the Bruins playing as well as they have been, scoreboard watching has become a tad frustrating. All the Senators can do is worry about their own situation. Rack up as many points as possible down the stretch and see where they end up.
94 points might get it done. 96 definitely would. It’s going to take a hell of a run but it’s possible.
Lots of talk about the goaltending situation in Ottawa and it has certainly tested a rookie Head Coach in Dave Cameron. To his credit, he’s handled it pretty well to this point. Right decision to go back to Hammond tonight.
No other changes to the line up.
