Game Day- Chabot Returns vs. Montreal

You would be hard pressed to find a game that means less.

When the Ottawa Senators host the Montreal Canadiens, there is precisely nothing on the line. Both teams are wrapping up disappointing seasons and outside of some possible draft lottery implications, there’s not a whole lot to this one.

Or that’s how it would have been anyway. Instead, there’s potential for some fireworks as these two teams meet for the first time since Brendan Gallagher had a big ol’ temper tantrum a few weeks back.

And make no mistake, that’s exactly what it was. Gallagher was frustrated, he was embarrassed and he decided to run his mouth. We’ll find out if there any consequences for that later tonight.

Oh.

Canadiens vs. Senators on Saturday night.

Sounds like we can expect a handful of changes for the Senators. First of all the good news- Thomas Chabot is back! Chabot has been sidelined since March 16th but he’s good to go for this one. The bad news is both Connor Brown and Nikita Zaitsev are out. Scott Sabourin has been recalled to take Connor Brown’s spot up front.

No game day skate but here’s how the Senators are expected to line up for this one.

Tkachuk-Norris-Batherson
Formenton-Stützle-Sabourin
Kelly-Gambrell-Watson
Tierney-Kastelic-Gaudette

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:08 PM down at the SeaTeaSea. The game is available on CBC and City TV. TSN1200 has the radio call and the streams are being conveniently distributed by friendly internet pirates across the interweb.
