Game Day- BSens Travel to Rockford

I have good news and I have bad news.

The bad news is the Ottawa Senators are on a bye week and don’t play again until January 27th. The good news is the Belleville Senators play an afternoon game today.

Wait, what was the bad news again?

The BSens travel to Rockford today to take on the Ice Hogs on Martin Luther King Day in the United States. Puck drop is scheduled for just after 2:00 PM.

Belleville is coming off one of their most impressive wins of the season- a shootout victory over Grand Rapids. Another two points in the bank for the surprising BSens who now sit just a couple points back of Utica for the Division lead.

Troy Mann’s team should have some reinforcements in the line up as the big team returned Drake Batherson, Rudolfs Balcers and Filip Chlapik to the American Hockey League over the weekend. A couple of those guys may be back up after the break but it’s good idea to have them playing games in the meantime.

BSens are dealing with a few injuries of their own as Jonathan Davidsson, Jordan Szwarz, JC Beaudin, Max Veronneau and Christian Jaros are all out.

Not sure how they’ll line up and we likely won’t know till game time but a best guess.
