Game Day- Another Must-Win in Toronto

Really no need to set the stage in today’s game day post.

We all know what’s on the line. We all know how important these two points are.

They probably would have preferred a slightly more comfortable finish last night but the fact is, the Ottawa Senators took care of business.  And while the out of town scoreboard didn’t go them any favours, the Sens won a game that they absolutely had to win.  The Senators are in a similar situation tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Scoreboard watching hasn’t been all that fun lately but fans will have one eye on a couple of different games on Easter Sunday.  It starts with a 12:30 PM puck drop between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers.  For the last couple weeks the Senators have been in a playoff races with the Bruins, Red Wings and Capitals but now suddenly, the Penguins are within striking distance.  They are that much closer when you consider the Sens and Pens play each other on Tuesday night.

A favour from the Philadelphia Flyers would be much appreciated. The Washington/Detroit game is also crucial for Ottawa. A regulation win is the preferred outcome in that one.

But really, none of that matters unless the Senators can take care of business against the Toronto Maple Leafs.  They let one slip away last weekend and absolutely can’t let that happen again.  I’ve used the term a few times recently but this game definitely qualifies as a must-win.

No line up changes expected for this one.  The Senators did not skate this morning but Cameron confirmed that he’ll roll with the exact same group that edged the Capitals last night.  Here’s how Cameron will line his team up;

MacArthur-Turris-Stone
Condra-Pageau-Lazar
McEachern-Prospal-Emerson
Smith-Zibanejad-Ryan
Hoffman-Legwand-Chiasson

Methot-Karlsson
Wiercioch-Ceci
Borowiecki-Gryba

Another start for Andrew Hammond. Puck drop is scheduled for just after 7:30 PM.

Just win.

Go. Sens. Go.
