The morning after a dreadful loss at the hands of the Carolina Hurricanes, the Ottawa Senators are shuffling their line up a little bit.
Max McCormick and Casey Bailey were returned to Binghamton this morning while Mike Blunden and Phil Varone have been recalled.
Seeing McCormick and Bailey demoted isn’t a huge surprise obviously but the fact that they needed to call up two new guys is. Mark Stone and Mike Hoffman are close to returning to the line up but this seems to suggest that neither will be ready to go tomorrow night in Florida.
Blunden has played well lately, scoring six goals in his last five games. Meanwhile Phil Varone has consistently been one of the most productive players in Binghamton.
Ottawa has a full day off today. They’ll take on the Florida Panthers tomorrow night.
