Daniel Alfredsson is coming home. Again. And for good this time.
This morning, Ian Mendes reported what many have speculated since he signed a one day contract with the organization and retired as an Ottawa Senator last season.
Daniel Alfredsson is ready to join the Ottawa Senators’ front office.
The organization has made it clear for some time now that the door was always open for Alfredsson as soon as he was ready. And according to the story from Ian Mendes, that could be any day now. An announcement is expected sometime prior to the opening of training camp.
The details of the position he’ll take on with the organization are not entirely clear just yet but it’s safe to say that regardless of the role he takes on, the Senators’ front office will be stronger with Alfie on board.
