It’s Monday.
All across our city, our country and our world, everyday life has come to a grinding halt. The concept of “normal” is long gone and a new way of life is being defined hour by hour.
Make no mistake about it, these are necessary steps.
Public health officials, scientists and doctors all agree that immediate action is needed. Now it’s on us as a society to heed the warnings. Not just for ourselves but for our family, for our friends and for our neighbours.
You may not feel like this has an impact on you and in many cases, you may be right. But we are past that now. It’s no longer just about the impact this virus has on individuals but how individuals can impact this virus.
If you’re in the National Capital Region, please continue to follow the advice of Ottawa Public Health and other reputable sources. And continue to use the comment section below to share information, to share advice and to help each other out.
And now… a distraction of sorts.
We spend a lot of time debating things (everything?) on this site. So let’s see if we can settle some of these debates once and for all. It’s time for a good ol’ fashion poll-off!
We’ll start there! If you have a debate you feel should be settled by a poll, let me know in the comment section and I’ll add it to this post. If you feel I’ve missed an option on any of these, let me know. If you notice a spelling mistake, let me know and I’ll fire my editor immediately.
While working on this post, I remembered some SensChirp classics including “The Five Worst Games in Franchise History”, The Best Goals in Franchise History and The Ten Best Games in Franchise History.
That should help pass the time while you’re “working from home”.
In the spirit of transparency, I wrote this post while being yelled at by two children, strongly dissatisfied with my engagement in the tea party they are hosting. So I better get back to that.
Be kind to each other.
