Game Day – Senators End Leafs Season in Ottawa

And so we reach game 82.

The long and winding regular season road, full of both dizzying highs and punishing lows, has reached its finale. For the Sens, there are bigger things to come. A first round match up with the East-leading Carolina Hurricanes looms. For the opposition, it’s the end of the line. And end of an era too.

The Ottawa Senators wrap up the Toronto Maple Leafs season on Wednesday night in Kanata.

How Travis Green manages the lineup and then ice time tonight is going to be interesting to watch. Obviously some key players took the night off over the weekend and we will see more of the same tonight. Stutzle, Tkachuk, Sanderson and Chabot all sit. This time Amadio joins them with Hodgson drawing in.

James Reimer starts.

Puck drop is at 7:38 PM in The Tire. The game is on Sportsnet which means we will have all night to hear what the Sens making the playoffs means for the Leafs. TSN1200, 104.7 FM and pirate-led streams are all an option or if you’re feeling ambitious, you can head down to the CTC and watch thousands of Leaf fans pay Tim Stutzle’s salary.

A closer look at how the playoff-bound Ottawa Senators match up with whatever the heck the Toronto Maple Leafs are up to.
