Game Day – Senators Visit Predators on Thursday Night

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. And a dramatic second half rally begins with a single win.

The Sens are showing some signs of life. While it includes a couple disappointing overtime losses, the team is riding a five-game point streak and in the process, have started to reel in some teams. There’s work left to do but heading into tonight’s action, it’s a suddenly manageable five-point gap between the Senators and the final playoff spot in the East. And with a game in hand.

The Ottawa Senators look to take another step forward as they visit the Nashville Predators on Thursday night.

One change to the Ottawa lineup tonight as the team has announced that David Perron will miss the next five to seven weeks as he recovers from sports hernia surgery. The Senators have recalled Stephen Halliday from Belleville to take his place. Halliday looked good in his most recent stint with the big club and now gets another chance to prove that he should stick around.

A best guess at the lineup for this one…

Zetterlund-Stützle-Batherson
Tkachuk-Cozens-Greig
Amadio-Pinto-Giroux
Cousins-Eller-Halliday

Sanderson-Zub
Chabot-Jensen
Kleven-Spence

James Reimer makes another start for the Senators.

Puck drops tonight at 8:08 PM in Nashville. Use that extra hour wisely. The game is gonna be on TSN5 and on the radio at TSN1200 or 104.7 FM. If those options don’t work, you can roll the dice with some shady internet pirates that I know.

Wondering how the Senators match up with David Legwand and the Nashville Predators but often find your hockey knowledge to be slightly dated? Maybe the HEAD2HEAD table can help with that.
