Well that’s more like it.
Maybe a little closer than it should have been in terms of a final score but as far as sixty minute efforts go, last night was the best we have seen from this team in a couple weeks. They controlled the pace of the game from start to finish and took care of business against the lowly Vancouver Canucks.
Time to keep that rolling at MSG as the Ottawa Senators visit the New York Rangers on Wednesday night.
No game day skate but we’ll assume same lineup as we saw against the Canucks.
Tkachuk-Stutzle-Zetterlund
Perron-Cozens-Batherson
Amadio-Pinto-Giroux
Eller-Greig-Cousins
Sanderson-Zub
Chabot-Jensen
Kleven-Spence
Plenty of intrigue in terms of a starter for tonight. James Reimer is definitely dressing but it’s not clear if they plan to give him his first start tonight or wait for the weekend. Merilainen got the nod last night obviously but had a reasonably light work load. Also, Leevi had a tough outing the last time they tried to play him on back to back nights. We’ll find out soon.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 PM, which is pretty friggin’ soon. The game is available on Sportsnet and on the radio at TSN1200 and 104.7 FM. Streams will make an appearance in the comment section a little closer to game time.
A closer look at this evening’s match up via a collection of columns and rows, fit for the bright lights of Broadway. It’s the HEAD2HEAD table.
