Just days after the General Manager stood in front of the local media and touted the organization’s depth at the goaltending position, the Ottawa Senators are scrambling a little bit.
With Linus Ullmark away from the team for personal reasons, the Sens are going to need someone to step up. Leevi Merilainen and Hunter Sheppard both struggled last night and now it seems like Mads Sogaard may get a look.
This morning, the Senators recalled Sogaard from Belleville of the American Hockey League and the plan is to have him join the team on the upcoming road trip to Utah and Colorado.
Well okay then.
