That’s more like it.
After a surprisingly ugly homestand, the Ottawa Senators got back to their winning ways on Thursday night in Columbus. It wasn’t a work of art by any stretch of the imagination but they definitely scored more goals than the other team. A step in the right direction.
The Senators look to build on that effort as they visit the Minnesota Wild on Saturday afternoon.
The Senators might be catching the Wild at a good time. They’re 7-2-1 in their last ten games and have been one of the best teams in the Western Conference but thanks to yesterday’s big ol’ trade, the Wild are going to be a little bit shorthanded today. Both Marco Rossi and Zeev Buium are gone and Quinn Hughes won’t make his debut until tomorrow.
Assume the Senators will go with a similar look as the other night in Columbus except maybe with Stephen Halliday drawing in for the injured Lars Eller.

Puck drops at 2:00 PM today so govern yourself accordingly. The game is available on TSN5, TSN1200 and 104.7 FM. Early-rising internet pirates will have streaming options up and running a little closer to game time.
Wondering how the Senators match-up with the Wild and too damn lazy to do your own research? The HEAD2HEAD table is the way to go.
