Headed to Vancouver

I guess I should begin by apologizing for the title of this post.  Anything "headed" anywhere this close to deadline day likely put a scare into some of you.

Just a quick post for now though as I'm at the Ottawa airport waiting to board a flight to the West Coast.  While I will be in Vancouver for the next few days, I'll do my best to keep the site up to date while away.  Sens are off today but are back at it tomorrow night when they host the New Jersey Devils.

The Senators were able to hold on Saturday, as they stormed out to a 4-0 first period lead and hung on for a tense 5-3 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.  Obviously another huge two points for Ottawa as they now sit eight points clear of the 9th place New York Rangers.

While in Vancouver, I'm hoping to take in Tuesday's Canucks/Blue Jackets game to do a little advanced scouting ahead of the inevitable Ottawa/Columbus Stanley Cup Final.

Will update the site once I get settled in Vancouver. Until then!

  • Of interest from last night, is the news that the Ottawa Senators had scouts watching the Colorado/Dallas game.  There are a few names that the Sens have interest in from Dallas, including Derek Roy and Jaromir Jagr.
