Coach Search Underway

Up until now, it has been next to impossible to get any details on the Sens search for a head coach. A great deal of the talk about the next bench boss has been speculation. There are a handful of quality coaches out there and a number of them seem to fit the bill here in Ottawa.

The reality is the Sens really only officially started the search over the last couple days.

Bryan Murray has been doing some scouting the last little while with the draft now less than a month away but the club still wants to have a new coach in place before that day in June.  The word is he has at least started with the interview process. An article from the Citizen’s Ken Warren suggests the same.

Over the next couple weeks, there is going to be plenty of talk about Dave Cameron as the guy for the job in Ottawa.

But according to a couple contacts, Cameron is a long shot at best. His name gets tossed around a lot because of the job he has done with Melnyk’s Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors but Cameron as the next head coach is apparently unlikely.

In the article from Ken Warren, Murray indicates that they will at least interview Bingo head coach Kurt Kleinendorst for the position.

Still looking for your feedback regarding the next Bingo Roadie. Stop by this post to see some of the options we have for the trip and let me know which one you prefer.

Should have a plan ready to go at some point tomorrow!
