So much for the “off-season”…
The funny thing about the off-season is it usually ends up being busier in terms of Senators-related news than the actual regular season. And for the Senators, it looks like they’ll kick off this off-season with a bang.
The Senators will host a news conference this morning at 11 a.m. to make a significant hockey announcement. #Sens

Sounds like Bryan Murray will announce that he’s moving into a Senior Advisor role with the club and Pierre Dorion will take over as the team’s General Manager.
Dorion has been groomed for the role of General Manager for the last couple years and was actually taking on a lot of GM tasks in the times when Bryan Murray’s health limited his ability to fulfill some of the day to day responsibilities.
The challenge for Pierre Dorion will be putting his own stamp on this team and differentiating himself from the previous regime. While Bryan Murray will remain in the picture in an advisory role, this is Dorion’s team now and he calls the shots.
One of his first decisions will obviously be the future of Head Coach Dave Cameron.
