Let the Draft weekend madness begin!
Okay, maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration. But this afternoon, Pierre Dorion crossed one restricted free agent off of his To Do list, signing forward Buddy Robinson to a one year, two way contract.
The deal will see Robinson early $750,000 in the NHL and $75,000 at the American Hockey League level.
Robinson is a quality depth forward and a useful player for the Binghamton Senators and he’ll be expected to take on an increased role with the BSens next season. Robinson has good size and skates well and while his offensive upside if limited, he’ll play in all situations for Kurt Kleinendorst in Bingo.
Robinson appeared in three NHL games last season, picking up two points, including his first goal in the National Hockey League in a late season game against the Florida Panthers. He certainly would have been a longshot to get his first if you were placing a wager at Betway Casino.
