Rest in Peace, Bryan

The Ottawa Senators organization and the entire hockey community has lost one of its most respected members.

Former Sens Head Coach and General Manager Bryan Murray has passed away at the age of 74.

There were few people that cared as much about the Ottawa Senators as Bryan Murray.

His passion for the game, his sense of humour, his courage and his incredible respect for his players were among his defining traits but so to was his relentless desire to see this hockey team succeed.

He loved the game and he loved our team and that was always so obvious in everything he did.

It’s a damn shame they couldn’t get him that Stanley Cup this year.

When Bryan received his diagnosis, he took it upon himself to use his own situation and platform to help others. Even in the face of such overwhelming personal hardship, he continued to fight and do what he could to help others. That was the type of person he was.

We lost one of the good ones today.

Condolences to the Senators organization and to the Murray family.

Rest in peace, Bryan.
