It had been so long, it was easy to forget that winning hockey games was an option.
Last night in Anaheim, the Ottawa Senators snapped their ugly eight game losing streak. The game ended and they had more goals than the opposition. That’s worth two points, you know. The once last place Sens now sit comfortably in 30th overall.
Another win tonight and they could find themselves in a tie for 25th overall.
Listen, I’m not saying that another miracle run kick started by a goalie-led California sweep is upon us but I’m definitely not NOT saying that.
The Senators are right back at it tonight as they visit the lowly Los Angeles Kings.
And you thought the Ducks were terrible? Get a load of these guys.
The once dominant Kings now occupy a spot dangerously close to the league’s basement. They can’t score, they can’t shoot, their power play is awful, and their penalty kill is even worse. Other than that, things are going just fine for the Kings. Oh and umm they are currently tied with Ottawa in the overall standings. How embarrassing.
Guy Boucher met with the media at whatever the hell time it is in California and had one minor change to his line up. Ben Harpur is out with an upper body injury which means we don’t have to watch some poor unsuspecting King eat a series of surprise upper cuts. It also means that Christian Wolanin draws back in.
No game day skate obviously but a best guess at the line up for now.
