Game Day- Series Continues at the CTC

You may not have heard but the Ottawa Senators won Game 1 of this series on Thursday night.

While media (both local and national), fans and bloggers tried to make a few empty seats the story following the series opener, what really mattered was happening on the ice.

The Ottawa Senators looked damn good in the first game of the Eastern Conference Semi-final.

All four lines were contributing, they were generating a ton of high-quality scoring chances and when their defence faltered, Craig Anderson was rock solid in goal. And while the end result was another one goal game, the Senators have to be thrilled with the way they played.

They’ll be looking to build on that performance on Saturday afternoon in what will be a sold out Canadian Tire Centre.

Guy Boucher will meet with the media at 12:00 PM and outline any potential line up changes. He made it clear in yesterday’s media availability that Tom Pyatt will be available for Game 2 but he hasn’t decided if he’ll put him in. Tough to mess with a winning line up.

For now, we’ll assume they go with the same combinations as Thursday.
