Game Day- Senators Host Rangers at CTC

It’s not that I don’t love the Ottawa Senators.

I honestly do.

It’s just that I’m not IN love with them. Not right now anyway. I just need some time to find myself. It’s not you Senators. It’s me.

Okay actually, it’s defintely you.

With 26 games remaining in a nightmare of a season, Owner and CEO Eugene Melnyk get set to host the New York Rangers at the Canadian Tire Centre.

About ten months ago, these two teams were going toe to toe in a heated second round playoff series. And now the only things that connect these two teams are a disappointing season and a press release suggesting a rebuild might be on the horizon.

When this season is done, nobody will be able to suggest that Sens Management and the Coaching Staff didn’t do everything necessary to get the highest draft pick possible. Even if it wasn’t always intentional.

Yesterday the Senators recalled Max McCormick from Belleville and announced that Gabriel Dumont is off the IR and expected to play. Meanwhile Colin White was sent back to the American Hockey League.

Guy Boucher will meet with the media at 11:30 AM to lay out his expected line up. A best guess for now.
