Game Day- Senators Continue Swedish Back to Back

More afternoon hockey, anyone?

After picking up an overtime win in the first game of this Swedish excursion, the Ottawa Senators look for more of the same at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.

Guy Boucher’s team has to be pretty happy with the way they played in the first game of this back to back.

While they looked a little bit out of sync in the first period, they settled in as the game went along and seemed to dictate the pace in the second and third.

They finished the game with a 31-19 edge on the shot clock. And while they did give up a tying goal with less than ten minutes to go in regulation time, they got the job done in overtime and came away with an important two points.

Now they have a chance to leave Sweden with four.

Zack Smith dislocated his thumb during yesterday’s game and is expected to miss at least three weeks. Nick Paul takes his spot in the line up. The Senators will again go with 11 forwards and 7 defenceman.

A best guess at the line combinations for now.
