Game Day- Ryan Returns to Anaheim

After a hard fought loss at the Shark Tank, the Ottawa Senators are right back at it with a game against the Anaheim Ducks.

The Sens are playing their fifth straight on the road tonight at the Honda Centre in Anaheim. After tonight, they’ll head to Phoenix where they play the final game on this road trip against the Coyotes.

Despite a pretty lopsided shot total, I actually thought the Senators did a pretty good job of hanging around against the Sharks. Robin Lehner was extremely sharp in the Ottawa goal and if not for a couple unfortunate penalties, the Sens could have come away with a couple points in San Jose. Plenty of positives to build on heading into tonight’s contest.

Obviously this is a big game for Sens forward Bobby Ryan as he plays his first game against the team he spent six years with prior to the deal to Ottawa. Sens fans will also get a glimpse of former Senator Jakob Silfverberg. Silfverberg is off to a great start in Anaheim with four goals in the team’s first four games. You know both Ryan and Silfverberg will want to put on a show in this one.

No morning skate today so we won’t know the official line up until close to game time. Here is how the Sens are expected to line up;

Michalek-Spezza-Ryan
MacArthur-Turris-Conacher
Greening-Pageau-Condra
Smith-Da Costa-Neil

Methot-Karlsson
Cowen-Wiercioch
Phillips-Gryba

Craig Anderson is expected to get the start in the Ottawa goal. Puck drop in this one is scheduled for just after 8:00 PM.
