Game Day- The Biggest Game of the Year

Okay.

You all know the drill by now.

With just three games left in their season, the Ottawa Senators find themselves in a sprint to the finish.  A single point over the next three games locks down a playoff spot but more than that will be needed if they want to finish in the top three spots in the Atlantic Division.  The Senators, Bruins and Leafs find themselves in an all-out brawl and lurking not far behind are both the Lightning and the Islanders.

Less than a week left in the season and five teams still battling it out for just three playoff spots.  And tonight, Ottawa goes head to head with one of those teams.

That’s why tonight is…say it with me…THE BIGGEST GAME OF THE YEAR.

It’s pretty incredible that with just four days left in the regular season, there is still so much up for grabs.  Home ice in the first round of the playoffs or missing them entirely. A first round match up against a fellow bubble team or a showdown with the President’s Trophy winners.  Couple other big games on the schedule tonight too as the Islanders are in Carolina while the Leafs play host to Tampa Bay.

For both Ottawa and Boston, it’s clear that there is still so much on the line.  Sounds like there’s a good chance the Bruins could be without their leading scorer, RatBoy, as he’ll have a hearing with the league this morning.

Erik Karlsson will not play tonight and is again considered day to day.

Lastly, a call to the comment section lurkers (and the regulars too!)- stop by today even if it’s just a Go Sens Go! We need all hands on deck for this one.
