(UPDATE 6:15 PM)- Turns out that was only the beginning. The Senators have also announced a three year extension for General Manager Pierre Dorion. Huh. The official news release from the team hinted at the potential for some fairly significant changes to the roster with the goal of “building an organization that wins – at all levels – year in and year out.”
The excitement never stops with the Ottawa Senators.
According to multiple reports, Tom Anselmi has resigned from his position as President of the Ottawa Senators.
The move comes just over a year after he took the position, in large part to oversee the team’s move to Lebreton Flats.
Anselmi hasn’t been heard from much publicly lately and was noticeably absent during the recent Lebreton announcement.
What a mess.
