If you were lucky enough to attend the game, you know exactly what I'm talking about.
After being shutout in Game 3, it was a crowd that was desperate for a goal. When Michalek's backhand beat Lundqvist, the momentum seemed to be too much for the Rangers to contain. During one second period tv time out, the crowd stood and cheered the whole way through. No music. Just pure emotion from the SBP faithful.
Not long after that ovation, it was Sergei Gonchar that willed a point shot past a shell shocked Rangers goalie and suddenly the Sens had pulled even.
Both teams had their chances with the game tied but Lundqvist and Anderson were both up to the challenge, ultimately sending this game to overtime.
Facing the possibility of draw even or be forced to the brink of elimination, the Ottawa Senators responded in a big way. Jim O'Brien fed Kyle Turris with a perfect drop pass and Turris beat Lundqvist with an absolute laser to pull the Sens even in this series.
Obviously plenty of players deserve recognition in this one because honestly, each and every Senator left it all on the ice in Game 4. But in particular you have to love the play of Matt Carkner. After serving a one game suspension on Monday, Carkner showed up in a big way on Wednesday night. He was at his physical best and his set up on the Michalek goal completely changed the momentum in this game.
Safe to say he's in the line up again for Game 5.
My hat goes off to each and every fan in attendance tonight. The hometown faithful showed exactly what is possible when the crowd gets behind their hockey team. By far the best atmosphere I have ever experienced at a game played at Scotiabank Place.
The Sens have a full day off and will play Game 5 of this series on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden.
I woke up this morning with the biggest smile on my face. The Sens got off to a bad start last night, but battled back and outplayed the Rangers for the majority of the game. That's kind of been the story of the series so far. I really believe the Sens have been the better team throughout the first 4 games.
One step closer to ROUND TWO FELLAS.
GO SENS GO
The physical style of the Rangers and their desire to throw themselves in front of every puck directed on their own net is going to wear them down. You could see it last night. They look like they're getting tired. Sens are owning the puck for the majority of the games and are starting to figure out how to get to Lundqvist.
It's time to get a lead in game 5 and take control of this series. If we can get the first couple goals on saturday it will force the Rangers to play a completely different game, our game.
:(
Who is that?
On a side note, I called for Foligno Turris and O'Brien to have big games. Solid.
I love this team. So much fun to watch.
Mad props to Paul Maclean and the entire coaching staff. To me this is all on them. The team really shouldn't be keeping up with new york. The coaches are able to get the team to play as one. You always hear that analogy but I as a sens fan had never experienced it first hand until now. The team seems to fix the right issues every game. They are never out of a game. Little things the PM apparently telling Turris at the morning skate not to fight the puck, that he's a good player and the bounces will come...this makes the difference between winning and loosing.
If Paul Maclean doesn't win the Jack Adams ill actually loose my shit
But anyways... it was a sick game! I'm pretty sure my neighbours hate me now. I'm lucky I didn't get a noise complaint. I'm also lucky my wife was out with her friends!
Beat them up at home on Saturday and take the series on Sunday boys!!
I'm pumped! I was super jacked last night, calmed down, now I'm pumped again!!
Go Sens GO!! Win Sens WIN!!
PS: Post 11!
Put let's give credit where credit is due, who was it that made an INSANE stretch pass to him coming out of the penalty box?????
SPEZZA! SPEZZA! SPEZZA!
Shhhhhhhhhhush Spezza haters...
Although he's gotta get more pucks to the net, but great game by him. He really battled all night.
Game 5 is OURS!
go sens go!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah I heard that one. Hilarious. That's a long time to sit in the box for a tripping penalty!
Konopka is a face-off wizard and a great penalty killer. He has limited skills but he's far from a liability when he's on the ice.
Carkner is an intimidating presence on the blue line. He may not have great foot speed but he's physical and is responsible with the puck, and can move the puck quite well for a tough guy.
The biggest value these two guys bring to the team is in the dressing room. They're both loved by their teammates and really are the glue that helps keep this team together. They provide great leadership and the other players know that no matter what, Carks and Z will have their backs.
I for one really hope Murray keeps both Carkner and Konopka around going into the future. Even if they don't have a regular spot in the line-up, they have great value as the 13th forward and 7th defenseman on the team.
Go Sens Go!
He is the worst play by play guy in the bus. Really pathetic he's going to be in the hall
Man reading a recap of the game, by Chirp or the Black Aces post... it almost tears me up a bit last nights game was so emotional. I hope for the players, all that emotion helps them refill the tanks for Saturday. our two wins so far this series? Built 100% of sheer will and determination.
Game 6 is Monday.
http://www.nhl.com/ice/schedulebyweek.htm#?navid=nav-sch-week
Never mind just saw post above me
There is nothing to love about the play of Carkner and anyone who sings his praises is a homer.
Did you hear that from Bob Cole?
Wow who shit on your parade this morning?
We won the game eh??
Where's the freaking EEYORE guy when we need him?
FWIW: Carkner knows his role and plays it very well. He's a bottom pair or even 7th D but he doesn't need big minutes to contribute in a playoff game. Setting up MM9's goal was a cagey effort. Watch the Sens TV clip of them coming off the ice after the game and then tell me Carkner's not a key part of this team.
http://video.senators.nhl.com/videocenter/console?hcatid=769&id=173391
Via @Wham_City 's Scoring Chance Data, Spezza was on for 6 scoring opps for and zero against. Interesting. http://bit.ly/J4ipGa
Take THAT Spezza haters.
Still need more from Spezza but he's playing better every game.
Clearly did not have your eyes open for the game. Carkner was waaaaaaay better than tons of players on the ice. He does his job and he does it with heart. Give the guy the credit he deserves. Your comments are out there. If it wasnt for Carkner we would not have mowed back like we did. He also set up one of our slumping top six. Re watch the game buddy
Every single comment and interview is based in "building" and "learning". He's putting zero pressure on the guys to win but a ton of pressure on them to develop their game.
Even if we don't get past the Rangers this playoff series has been like an extra year of rebuild. Guys like Turris, Karlsson, Cowen and the Bingo muckers have all learned so much about themselves and how to play in the NHL in the past few weeks.
Similar to how Spezza learned in the 2007 cup run then again against Pitt where he had the impossible task of trying to contain Crosby. That sort of experience can't happen in the regular season and in the not-too-distant future when we're battling for the cup it will make all the difference.
Loved the energy from the crowd last night and in game 3 as well. Place was rocking all night as it should be.
Can't wait for games 5 and 6!
TSN schedule must be wrong then. Damn!
Butler played ok, but I'm really hopeful Silfverberg or someone else can replace him in the lineup soon as he can't seem to capitalize.
All in all though, great game top to bottom of the roster. GO SENS GO!!!
That's correct.
Actually kinda sucks for Ottawa as we're a younger and deeper team so would almost rather a tight schedule to force Fonzie, er Torts, and his 2-line team to play with minimal rest while we roll 4 lines.
Either way, this series is completely winnable. Just have to play like we played in most of game 3 and the final 50 minutes of game 4. Keep up that pace and don't get too down if the Rangers manage to score and we can take the series.
Go Sens Go!
Interesting to see that Carkner has been instrumental in both wins, first by punching Boyle in the face to give our team some energy & then by setting up Michalek for the first goal to again give our team some energy. Konopka has been great throughout these playoffs as well. GO SENS GO.
The Score has the Sens playing on Sunday at 8 PM EST...
TSN has them playing on Monday.
CBC has game 6 on Monday but no Game 7 scheduled...
Anyone have an actual ticket?! What does the ticket say?!
+100
I thought Konopka showed a ton of leadership when calming Foligno (after bogus call) so that he wouldn't get the 10 minute.
Hockey, especially playoff hockey, obviously takes a very big physical toll on the players.
I for one would not prefer a back-to-back game, as a matter of fact I wish in the NHL playoffs there were NEVER back-to-back games. Diminishes the quality of the games and really doesn't give teams a fair shake to put out their best effort IMO.
NHL.com is the authoritative schedule. Sens play game 6 Monday, time TBD apparently, but we all know it will be 7:30 as per usual.
Hax aka Homer #2: If by cagey effort you mean luckluster and lucky, I will totally agree. I know that Carkner is not a big part of this team because he spot will be easily replaced by one of the promising young guns coming up from Bingo (ex. Borowiecki).
Boivo aka Homer #3: Like I said, if NYR would have scored on Carker's minor the game would have been 100% different. I don't disagree that Carkner was better than quite a few players on the ice but to put him on a pedestal is riiiidiculous.
Whoever on this thread mentioned that Carks is a PMD aka Homer #4: haha sure!
Listen folks, I love the heart and soul this guy brings to the team but plain and simple, he won't be back as a starter for this team next year.
Not saying playing consecutive days - though even that would be our advantage I think.
Just saying that since Fonzie is only playing 2 1/2 lines and the Rangers are generally older that a single day off between games would hurt them more. Our guys are younger and we're spreading the minutes out more.
We've got two days off before game 5, one before game 6 then 3 days off before game 7 is necessary.
Back-to-back is stupid in the playoffs for sure, but in our case it would probably help.
Still think we can win in 6 and if it goes 7 we're still in good shape - just would rather the Rangers don't get three days to rest up before a potential game 7.
F@(# it - just win it in 6 boys!!
Dude, watch the replay. Carkner waits a second extra before leaving the box to get himself open for Spezza's pass.
Nobody is saying Carkner is a "skill guy" and if anyone called him a PMD then LMAO, but he made a smart play and it paid off. He could very well be gone next year to make room for other guys but I guarantee you that Murray would love to have room to keep him as a 7th D (which is what he really is).
Why do you insist on shitting on him? Can't a role player make a nice play and help his team?
I am known as the biggest Homer around here...idiot
What in the hell does Carkners possiblity of returning in years to come have to do with the fact that he played a fucking wicked game and I am putting him up on god damn pedestal for his amazing contributions in these playoffs......c ause I can. You are rediculous attention grabber that needs some friends and to get laid. Go blow your shit somewhere else cause we dont need it.
I don't really agree with anything that Dale wrote, but clearly Carkner was watching the play and didn't know the door had been opened for his release. LOL. He seemed stunned that the door was opened. Lucky for us, the delay in him leaving the box worked in our favour. However, it was far from intentional.
I'll be there for Game 6. Hoping for some more magic!
Alfredsson may skate with Sens Friday. Is working out off ice and feeling better. #sens

It's not copyrite - feel free to label your own anhedonic jackass.
Maybe Daybreak Maidenhead could chip in a FREEBIRD
Quoting CraigL:
I noticed that too. If he didn't go over to calm Foligno down (with less than 6 mins to go in a tied game), the refs could've given him an extra two mins for misconduct. That was huge! I really hope Murray brings back Konopka.
Carkner was well aware the door was open. If you check the reply again you can see that the penalty box dude was giving him a 5 second countdown
Don't know for sure if he planned it or it was a fluke, but TSN's highlights made a point of pointing out that he timed it that way.
Doesn't prove anything of course but even if it was more luck than anything else, why would someone feel the need to shit on the guy on a freaking Sens blog?
Not only are you truly a hockey moron, but obviously either a Leafs troll or upset because Carks banged you girlfriend and/or mom in high school. Simultaneously perhaps.
LET'S GO BOYS!
Seriously.
Everyone knows I'm the #1 homer on this site, if not the ENTIRE WORLD!!!!
Game six on Sunday ? DITTO You must have heard that from Bob Cole.
This is the one I watched the last game on. Pretty decent feed and yes they have the game!
http://www.sylartv.net/
Don't worry, He'll be back the next game the Sens loses, along with Zap. Pointing out everyone's flaws...
I'm in a too good of a mood today...BRING ON GAME 5!!!
I didn't even see him get hurt - anyone have a clip?
Would hate to lose him as I think he's a reliable depth guy. Hopefully he's okay - if not: Release the KLINKHAMMER!
Despite being tired I am also in s GREAT mood today!
Sens won an incredibly hard fought and vital victory.
Won $300 on Bodog hockey.
Got my hands on a new RUSH track yesterday (my favorite band in the universe) plus they announced tour dates.
Awesome day yesterday!
*thrash*
Can we agree that UNLEASH is even better?
UNLEASH THE KLINKHAMMER!!!! !!!!!!!!!!
I'll buy that.
Agreed, I don't understand negativity given the year we've had.
Every player has a part, the collective is key to success.
Fair to say that without either player, we would be a significantly different team. Better or worse? Who can say but I like they way things are clicking!
If Winchester is out I suspect Daugavins to replace him, there style is very similar and seeing as Daugavins has taken the pre-game skate twice before heading to the press box would indicated he’s next in-line.
Klickhammer just doesn’t do anything for me...I know he works his a** off out there but doesn’t everyone? I really have never understood the infatuation with this guy...besides of course his awesome name!
I would have been totally fine with guys like Kuba, Carkner and Konopka being dealt at the deadline but now that seems like it would have been crazy.
Of course if some GM was ready to overpay for any of those guys it's probably still the right move but glad we have them now.
I'm cool with whoever Paulrus decides to put in the lineup. It's just fun to yell "Unleash the Klinkhammer!!"
Plus I'd love to hear Cole try to say his name! LOL
http://covervote.nhl.com/:b=firefox11/#/ballot
This team may lack the talent of the teams in the early 2000's, but the heart and guts of this team is what those teams lacked. I can only assume that the Sens would have won multiple Cups back then.
stream works beautifully..th anks much
Way to go Sens Fans! Keep it up! The boys are totally feeding off of it.
I was in my living room watching the game, and have no voice today.
I hope it carries over a bit into next year. I know "playoff atmosphere" isn't really possible in the regular season, but hopefully our regular season crowds get a bit louder each year.
The past two games (and a few home games near the end of the year) have been great but we need more energy in the regular season too.
Need to lose that "morgue" nickname that players have for SBP!
Ha! I had no idea SBP had the nick. Fitting (unfortunately) . For now at least, I'm enjoying every minute of the hysteria.
It's understandable. Some November games you can clearly hear talk on the ice between players like it's a men's league game.
I get that it's hard to be loud and proud playing Carolina in November, but hopefully we can get a little better each year.
I am trying to just listen while I work,, between the language barrier and the crowd going ape shit constantly... I have no idea what is happening and need to flip over and check the scoreboard now and then. LOL.
0-0 still, first period is almost done.
We need more comments from Chirp to lighten the mood!
And for those bashing Carkner; the guy controled a pass, made a skilled play protecting to puck in the Rangers zone and fed 9MM for the Sens first goal in a million years. And you pick as the time to shit on the guy... great timing douche.
Maybe I'll stop by your kid's 3rd birthday party and tell him there's no such thing as Santa... ass.

yeah I muted it...my call center co-workers get anal when you put on a live stream of radio or anything else..buttheads i tell you.
A 11 fie = juvenille
Don't get wired up. The dude might be a Lafs Fan in disguise. If there is no space for Carkner next year, that's too bad. But you can't tell me he's not making a difference when a goal was scored. Regardless if its lucky. Heck half the time, its luck. So don't sweat it. Ignore the douch...
SPL
A11fie - no worries it is only THIS clown, DildoFactory that is the only one slagging Carkner.
Everyone else here, and the city for that matter was very happy with his performance last night. When I walked in this morning my VP of Marketing shouted "Carkner! Playoff MVP!"
Chances are this person is one of the usual dipshit morons but just posting under a different name today.
Anyone who says otherwise doesn't watch, and is basing that on reptutaion alone. There is a reason he made the lineup over other guys when he first came here. Also, he gets a lot of reputation penalties too.
Okay I get where you see "trailer trash" - assuming that you think anyone who likes Rush lives in a trailer. Not accurate of course, but I at least where a feeble mind makes the connection.
But what about A11fie leads you to "juvenille"? I mean, given that you can't even spell it and are calling people names it's pretty ironic and hilarious, but I can't follow your broken logic there at all.
Please elaborate.
What period?

Can you imagine he decided to forgo the night of celebration with his team and jump straight on a place because he wants to be here so bad?
I'd never expect the kid to do that though, celebrate the championship and get here in time to practice before our Monday tilt. :)
Silfverberg now passed Alfredsson for most goals in a SEL playoffs w/ 12. And he did so in style, a wrister wired for the top corner. #Sens
2nd period about half way through
haha, yeah true but theoretically he could party for the next 12-18 hours, get on a plane wasted, sleep it off and make it in time for Saturday :)
If I'm Murray I tell the kid to go celebrate with his team and grab a flight tomorrow. Playing Saturday is out of the question at this point (series tied, not down 3-1; he needs a practice or two with the team; his legs will be jello after 12 hours on a plane etc).
Option for game 6 maybe but only if we have a forward that's really not bringing it.
Excellent points and here is the way I see it.
- we acquired Gilroy, Carkner sat
- Gilroy struggled
- Carkener drew back in and was vastly improved playing like a guy with something to prove
- Since then Carks has been great. Strong, reliable, big battler, getting better and better with the opportunities he's gotten and has culminated this with an AWESOME playoff run so far.
The guy has a lot of heart he is able to translate into hard nosed effectiveness, and the guy knows his role, unlike some fans.
All hail Carkner!
Once Silverberg gets over here I'd sit either Butler or Winchester. Butler is obvious as to why and Winchester makes plenty of nice defensive plays but most of the time it's because he was out of position to start with, like that goal mouth save last night. I'm really not a fan of Winchester's game, but I know that's not the general sentiment here.
Haha
To sum up:
You’re a douche, and I’m juvenile; cool beans, man. One is a term for someone that hasn’t fully matured yet – accepted. The other term – a receptacle for vaginal waste…
Quoting SensPuckLuck:

Ya... I wouldn't NEVER post under a different name... er... uh...
(turns and runs the other way)
How was Winnie out of position on that play? Isn't the center basically the third D in his own end? Playing his man wasn't he?
I'm not looking at a reply so I could be wrong, and not saying he's always in the right spot either. Just not sure that play is a good example.
But yeah Butler was "last in" and only drew in because we needed a guy with some hope in the top 6 otherwise it probably would have been Daugavins coming back in. So Silfverberg taking his spot makes some sense since Butler isn't going to get 6 shots on goal playing on the 4th line.
But Winnie might be out too anyway - anyone heard about his upper body injury last night? Or even see the play where he got hurt and able to guess what the injury is or how bad?
Not a common conception I don't think, that Rush fans are trailer trash. Rush fans tend to be renowned, high-end nerds or geeks. Not like that is any better than trailer trash. LOL.
Didn't say I agreed with the assessment, just that I can at least see where someone with limited imagination made the jump.
But let me ask you this - did you ever wear a white concert shirt with black 3/4 length sleeves to school? Topped by a mullet?
LOL Only kidding of course. Are you hitting the Toronto or Montreal show?
You poor leaf fans!
I pity you guys that have nothing to watch after the regular season. Maybe you could see one of your 'heroes' on the golf channel taking lessons.
Silfver in on this one? hope they can close it out and he takes the playoff mvp trophy.
No, only because we had to wear uniforms in high school, haha.
Quoting Hax:
Montreal 100%, possibly Toronto and/or Vegas. I've seen them all over the world, over 30 shows, but this is a bad time for tickets to go on sale for personal budgetary reasons... time to scrape some cash together!
Not in on the second goal:
http://www.flashscore.com/match/4A6JBb1f/#match-summary
Youngest MVP of the SEL ever right? I'm hoping that's more than just a dump and grind type guy. I bet this kid scores 40 at least once in his NHL career
Look at this Eeyore always complaining on site after site, belittliing the team. WE JUST WON SON. All your stats can go out the window in the playoffs.
Yes I totally agree. To me he looks like a bonafied 2nd liner..similar to Michalek. Honestly think he may end up being all around better than Zibanejad. Zib loves the one timers and is damn good atthem but silfvers release is just deadly. If he can dominate the Swedish elite leaguethe way he did then I have no doubt he can do the same in the NHL some day (and that's being close to a point per game similar to Alfie). We have a couple beauty swedish boys comin up!!!
I agree that he's likely the better sniper, but I wouldn't get too carried away as his big knock is he is not physical enough. It will all depend on if he's able to translate his game to the more physical NHL game. I'm pretty hopeful he will though, much like you!
He'll likely be in the pressbox (and fresh off a plane) on Saturday and might draw in Monday. Dreger and Simpson seem to think he will anyway. Others have suggested it wouldn't be until round 2 but if Alfie is still out I could see MacLean rolling the dice a bit.
I've stated all along that MacLean is very system oriented and wouldn't want to parachute a guy in but Alfie being out changes things a bit.
http://video.senators.nhl.com/videocenter/console?hcatid=1141&id=173472
Check out this link and listen to MacLean's presser.
Garrioch is such a tool. Asks the stupidest questions and seems to try and asks questions where he expects MacLean to say "Yeah Bruce you're exactly right!".
Would love to see Garrioch do a sit-down interview with Torts. Fonzie would end up ripping Boo-boo's head off.
I must admit that during the season I was down on Konopka for the penalities he took.... but he is made for playoff hockey. He is very good in the faceoff circle and physical...
Turris did mention that at practice earlier this week... McLean told him to loosen his grip... he is a very good player and it would come to him. Turris said the confidence the coach had in him.... was great. I'm sure McLean was trying to calm Spezza down on the bench. He is such a great coach... what a hiring by Murray.
Two of the 3 goals were scored by shooting high into the net... the 2nd through a screen. So the Sens know to shoot high now...
The Sens have approx about 30 shots on the net per game in this series, correct? But how many are being blocked and not getting through. How tired or sore are those Ranger D getting?
I hope the Rangers play a clean game on Sat... I have a feeling they will try to get dirty again. I would sit Alfie out until game 6....
The Sens have a lot of confidence right now... the Rangers a lot of pressure.
Let's go Sens... get that win in Game 5... Can you imagine game 6 at SBP if the Sens come back with the series lead? I can hardly wait...

O’Connor: Do you watch much hockey?
Gretzky: I go to the Air Canada Centre and watch the Leafs play. Isn’t that something, that rink is filled all the time?
Do you know the difference between the Leafs and the Titanic? Nothing. They both go down as soon as they hit the ice.
You know how you can tell it’s springtime in Toronto [laughing]? All the Leafs are out.
You know the difference between the Leafs and my lawnmower? Nothing. They both spend the winter in the basement.
Can't wait to see him play.
http://www.elitserienplay.se/video.1571647897001
Your kidding right? He just completed the playoffs and won The championship, he's the mvp and was a factor in every game. HE IS READY! He will be here and probably go on The first line, moving michalek to the 2nd with turris. This guy is the best player in the SEL. He will contribute and be that top liner winger spezza needs.
Well most of the "talking heads" seem to think he's got a good shot at playing, but I think it's possible that MacLean might say "he won't play until he proves he knows the system well enough".
MacLean keeps repeating every time he talks to the media how it's a team effort, team game, "playing our game" etc. Dropping a guy in who's never played a game in Bingo, let alone Ottawa and hasn't practiced with the team since the fall doesn't fit that approach.
Though with Alfie out all bets are off. If they figure his skill means he can provide more than a guy with less skill (Butler) but better knowledge of the system then he'll play.
@ All above,
Might be the missing link and replacement for Alfredsson ,once our Captain does retire.
As good as he is, he has to learn our (Maclean's) system.
Therefore, he nedds to learn it from practicing a few times,
and it might not force Murray, to sign a sniper and linemate for Spezza.
Could see him in the lineup in Round 2 !!
GO SENS GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!
(car is only a 2010 too!)
here's a photo gallery of the winning team. love the team's gold helmets

silfverberg has passed alfie in all time post season points and he also broke the past record of post season goals with 13. the holder of that record was alfie with 12!
I live in T.O. and since the jersey store I always went to closed down.. I have no idea where I can find a sens jersey let alone one in my size and with the players name I want over here...
I'll be coming over for game 6 so any suggestions for a place that sells at decent prices and has the names and numbers stitched (NOT heat pressed)
Michalek - Spezza - Stone
Foligno - Turris - Petersson
Silfverberg - Zibanejad - Alfredsson
Greening - Smith - Neil
I know we'd never have 4 rookie forwards in the top 6 and I personally think Stone (and maybe Petersson) needs some AHL time - hence the "fantasy" part.
Why not the Sens Store on site? Or if you're worried it's too expensive there then there's a Clubhouse right near there at Centrum Plaza (Terry Fox and Campeau). There's also a Hockey Life in that same mall near the Clubhouse.
Try Kijiji
just gotta be slightly negative and say there's no way nick foligno is on the 2nd line when we have lots of high end talent coming in...
silfverburg spezza parise/noeson
michalek turris stone/alfie
zibanejad/greening smith peterson/klinkhammer
foligno obrien/dacosta neil/butler/condra
either way we'll have loads of options and quality depth. Choices will have to be made on who we let go and who's a healthy scratch, play more skill vs teams that play skill, play grit when Needed.
its gonna be exciting to watch it all unfold.

Seems like an almost perfect 6/7 D-Man to me.
Tough as a crowbar - paid peanuts - ready to step in at anytime - great in the dressing room.
A warrior who knows that every NHL playoff game won will be celebrated in Valhalla.
If I was GM I'd be offering him a new contract.
Just wanted to share the story.
That's amazing! Its also remarkable if the parents are cool with their kid's individuality and aren't trying to sway his choice. If my kid wanted to be a Leafs fan, I would probably have a hard time dealing with it..
I need to be honest. I make disparaging remarks about Leafs fans on a regular basis.
Man. I feel so much better now.
Thanks for listening.
but why was he wearing number 100 ?
he was co-captain, silfverberg became full, captain in the playoffs. I'm not sure if dackell was dedicated to the full season.

I really think that O'Brien deserves to play next year, for the limited amount of minutes he has played, he has played the most solid. I also noticed that he can skate up and down the ice really well, exemplified by yesterday's game.
So proud to be a sens fan right now!!
@57gord ...tried kijiji over here in T.O. lol nothing and I wouldn't bother looking over there in Ottawa I wouldn't have enough time to coordinate a meeting with anyone to get it
sucks too cause I was gonna grab a turris jersey and he actually stopped that night to sign an autograph for me and my sister...would have had a signed turris jersey :( but a signed hat aint to shabby

Peter Forsberg compared Silfverberg's finish to that of Stamkos's, according to a Travis yost article.
Wow...........!!!
Just might happen as early as next season, but I see you
did not pencil in Stone??
If Alfredsson decides to retire, I can see Stone on Line 2 as a RW !
Exciting future, and great times to be a Sens Fan .
GO SENS GO !!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait till Saturday, would have loved to see that game being aired tonight but what can you do. Guess we're stuck watching the Preds flush Detroit while Philly tries to tame the sleeping Dragon they awoke in Pitts.
I was at the game and the crowd was nuts. I had no voice when I showed up to work 30 mins late.
