  • Right Back In It

On Sunday night, the city of Ottawa learned it really can make a difference.

Daniel Alfredsson shocked the Penguins with a last minute game tying goal and Colin Greening played the role of hero in double overtime, as the Ottawa Senators rode the hometown crowd to their biggest win of the season.

Headed Home

Just a quick post before I hop on my flight back to Ottawa.

It has been an amazing week here in the Dominican Republic but I can see that for hockey fans back home, things haven't been quite as good.  Team Canada suffered a disappointing fourth place finish at the World Juniors and the NHL lockout is on Day 112.

Based on what I've read in my few minutes at the internet cafe, there does seem to be some optimism about today's mediated sessions.  Both Darren Dreger and Pierre Lebrun seem to be confident which is obviously a good sign at this stage of the game.

Here's hoping there is something concrete to share when I return to Canada in the wee hours of Sunday morning.  We'll have lots to catch up on including the recent play of the Binghamton Senators and hopefully, preparations for the start of the NHL season.

Thanks to everyone for your patience while I took this much needed holiday.  Looking forward to getting things back on track over the next couple of days.

Until then!

Sportsnet is saying the Pension issues are settled and the Owners moved next year's cap to 63M... but TSN doesn't have that last point.

So who do you believe?

If both of these are done - then the one big item left is player contract length.

Yes, they keep on winning - pretty impressive. That Da Costa line can really play. Makes the Seinfeld bearable. Lol
