As the excitement of the buyout and free agency period continues to build, I’ve been thinking a lot about players that may soon become available. I’ve listed the players I think are on Ottawa’s radar.
I’ve tried to keep this as realistic as possible… however fact can certainly be stranger than fiction (see Roman Josi’s 7 year, $28M deal with Nashville). I don’t see Ottawa making too many moves this summer, and like everyone else, I hope management can find a scoring winger and a Top-4 defenseman to add to the mix.

So I couldn't watch the game, which was a drag. And the TVs in the casino where I work were only showing the Spurs-Grizzlies game.
My wife Kayla was watching at home, and I'd check in on my breaks. I could see the ESPN ticker every now and then, but only when it was time to move the cards into the shuffler. Everytime I caught a view of the score, it was 1-0 Pittsburgh. As the time went on, I stopped looking becasue I didn't want to see that it was a final.

After the elation of taking down our Quebecois opponents wears off (well as much as it can) we’ll get to take part in the slightly less fun scoreboard watching until the next round. The meta sport is so much more fun if everyone has a good idea of what everything means, so here’s my round up of our possible opponents.

Looking at the Leafs roster, a few things jump out at me. First, the team has only dressed 7 players this year that were drafted by the organization and all come out of just 3 different drafts.
Second, the Leafs has signed a lot of UFAs, including 3 undrafted rookies. Finally, it is downright confusing to keep track of the way this organization wheels and deals draft picks. After considering the above mentioned points, we’ll consider Toronto’s rebuild since the end of the 2007–08 season.

Scranton and ill penalties combined to put the Binghamton Senators on the brink of elimination tonight with another 3-2 win.
Down 2 games to nothing Coach Richardson needs to pull a rabbit out of his hat to keep the season and hopes of Binghamton fans alive. Positive note was the play of top prospect Matt Puempel who scored his first goal to knot the score at 1 apiece.
