Ottawa Still Undecided on Zibanejad

Written by SensChirp
Bryan Murray met with media this afternoon and made it clear that Zibanejad’s future with the team is still up in the air. He will be in the line up against Carolina.  Obviously this is an important game for the rookie as it will be his ninth in the NHL.  The Senators will then have to make a decision on what to do with the 18 year old forward before a year is triggered on his entry level contract.

Sens ReCall Daugavins

Written by SensChirp
Bit of a surprise at practice this morning as the Sens were joined by Kaspars Daugavins. With Filatov in Binghamton, it was assumed he was next in line for a call up but they have decided to go with Daugavins instead. Should be interesting to see where he fits in tomorrow night in Carolina.

Sens Stun Jackets

Written by SensChirp
A late October game against the Columbus Blue Jackets doesn't exactly scream excitement. But last night was completely different.  With late goals by Jason Spezza and Milan Michalek, the Senators capped off one of the most memorable games I have ever been to at Scotiabank Place.

GAME DAY- Sens Host Jackets

Written by SensChirp
Coming off one of their strongest performances of the season, the Sens will look to continue their winning ways against the struggling Columbus Blue Jackets. The Jackets come into this one with a league worst 0-6-1 record so you know they'll be eager to notch their first win of the season.  Steve Mason gets the nod for Columbus and former Sen Cody Bass is expected to dress for the visitors.

Welcome Back Winnipeg- Sens Win

Written by SensChirp
For the first time since 1995, the Winnipeg Jets played a game in the city of Ottawa. The Senators welcomed the Jets in style, riding a solid performance from Craig Anderson on route to a 4-1 win at Scotiabank Place.  Not the result the Jets fans were hoping for but certainly a relief for fans of the Ottawa Senators.
