With New Jersey and Boston both losing earlier in the day, the Sens had a great chance to close some ground on the teams ahead of them in the Eastern Conference.
Instead, the Ottawa Senators let a 2-0 lead slip away and dropped their second straight game in the process. The Sens definitely showed signs of frustration ultimately falling 4-2 at the hands of the Southeast leading Panthers.
After a flat performance on Friday night against the Chicago Blackhawks, the Ottawa Senators hope a trip down South will help the team get back on track.
