Tonight marks the third meeting of the season between the two teams.
Boston has won both games in the season series but on both occasions the Sens were able to grab a point from a powerful Bruins team. Robin Lehner was the starter in both those games and will get the nod again tonight.
The Bruins are coming off a rare loss as they fell to the Jets on Tuesday night. Ottawa trails the Bruins by just three points in the race for home ice advantage but Boston does have a couple games in hand. The two teams will meet two more times after tonight.
Head Coach Paul MacLean will make one change ahead of this one. Marc Methot took the morning skate but will not play. The Coach listed him as probable for Saturday's game against Tampa Bay. With Methot out, Mike Lundin draws back in.
Here is how the Senators are expected to line up
Latendresse-Smith-Alfredsson
Greening-Turris-Silfverberg
Condra-Zibanejad-Neil
Kassian-Regin-O'Brien
Wiercioch-Gonchar
Phillips-Benoit
Lundin-Gryba
Puck drop is just after 7:30 PM with the game available on Sportsnet and on the radio at Team 1200.
Which D line do you think plays vs Lucic and Horton?
Cant wait.
Haha dont start here.
all Kidding aside this D will have its work cut out for them, and for all the Gonchar lovers out there this will be a very true test tonight!
Even with Lehner standing on his head we will be in for a tough match.
Mind you we played them very well last week and only lost in the shootout, but that was with Methot,
Go Sens Go!!!
Yeah, let's just all agree that he's here today, Gon(char) tomorrow?
Is tonight the night we see Kassian do the man dance?
To get you in the mood... the best opening scene of a movie EVER:

not sure why all the negative comments on Gyrba... he only has less that 15 games in the NHL, he will mature... and i am still a believer that one day he will be a very good D-man
Yeah I'm kinda happy too, no need to rush him back really. Imagine he comes back and then gets lost for the playoffs...
Dont take it as negative, thats how things get blown out of proportion. I think its only because he has struggled more than he has been good, which is normal. I think a lesser role for him for now is a good thing. Just like we did with Turris when he was struggling.
Similarly, Cowen had to do the same thing last year
Only difference is that Cowen got to do it playing 10-14 min a game and lots of PK time, where as Gryba is being thrust into a 15-18 min game role which is why we are seeing mental errors
Can't blame the guy he is working his tail off, but errors and mistakes are inevitable
I mentioned it here yesterday but I would love for Ottawa to pick up Leopold for the stretch run, he can log big minutes, play every situation and is a UFA. Buffalo sucks anyways
And as always Douglas Murray or Ladislav Smid would be great alternatives should those teams fall out of the playoff picture
Just found out the reason TSN are showing Orr moments in the top ten! Its his 65th birthday! LOL
He's probable for the weekend. Obviously injury isn't serious.
*Phew*
Remember when they said the same for Anderson? Andy was back on the ice with his equipment after a few days.
Would be great if it's minor but set backs can't be ignored.

Need to find a good nickname for Karlsson...I hope something does stick to him, like...
Things we cant use IMO.
King Karl - Lundqvist already owns that.
Karlsson the Great - belongs to Orr.
Karlsson the Magnificient - Mario Lemieux

K-Dawg
Swedish Meatball

The Messiah
Hope they can defend somewhat, and not have Bruins tear them apart.
If they fall apart, maybe Coach will bench them, and double shift the other 2 pairs !
I was gonna write Swedish Meatball but thought it wasnt Karlsson...mayb e Ruutu tho, lol.

Well what do you like Markus?

Well if Erik was 6'5 with a big beard and bashed people with monster hits maybe...
LOKI then?
One of the world's major Trickster Gods, in his early days LOKI was a rascal; crafty, sneaky, silly and malicious — a Loki The Lad. The son of two giants, LAUFEY and FARBAUTI, he was so outrageously mischievous that he even sneaked his way into becoming a God. He was the first anti-hero, quick-witting his way out of the tight corners and confrontations caused by his misdeeds. But as time wore on he became increasingly nasty

Gryba's mistakes are like a goalie's mistakes. They are VERY noticeable.
Especially when he makes two mistakes on the same play (as he did for the Islanders 2nd goal.
However I think he's been steady enough I just haven't been blown away as some people seem to have been.
Next year i still think he's the prime candidate to start the season in Bingo (assuming everybody is healthy - which is an hilarious assumption to make for the sens at the moment)
Has a good ring to it...

SUCK IT PHANEUF!
I'm surprised they could find 10 highlights for Colton Orr. Although he does still fight well for a pensioner.
Swedish Jessus*
I'm agree, someday he will be a very good D man. RIght now though he is scary as shit every time he touches the puck.
Not saying he's not playing decently just worries me whenever he touches the puck lol.
Karlsson de bästa,
Betyg många poäng,
Du kan inte komma förbi honom,
Eftersom han är snabb som blixten!
Ok that might be a bit hard, also used Babylon translator so have no idea if this is even correct!!
The above translated apparently means:
Karlsson the best.
He scores many points,
You cannot get past him,
Because he's quick as a flash!
LOL
So we are playing the mighty Bruins. Why on earth we haven't beat them in the last... who knows how many games? We've fought, we've played hard and the last 2 games are a testament to that. Considering how much adversity this young Sens squad has faced, and with Methot nopw out, if there was a game to put Money on the Sens winning (due to odds and what the return would get you) I'd put it on this game.
This pesky Sens team will come out SO hard for this game. Our forwards will support our D, our D will support Lehner, and we'll continue to see some solid shutdown minutes when needed. The main reason I'm confident in this game, because we've been finding ways to score. We've went from 1 to 2 a game, to 3 to 4. And in the last 3 games, we've scored 13. While we will miss the minutes Methot plays, he wasn't part of the increased scoring, so being out of the lineup shouldn't affect that category too much. We will win this game by 2, no OT, no shootout.
Actually a lot of the talk on here reminds me of how people used to talk about Redden in his rookie year. Wasn't on blogs back then but on the postgame shows people were worried about Redden when he was on the ice, he committed too many turnovers, yada, yada, yada.
Gryba like Redden plays 20+ minutes a game and is used in all situations. Hopefully he'll have a similar career as Redden had. I know all of you Redden haters will enjoy this.
But the Methot injury will really hurt them in D depth. Lundin has played a big 7 games this season.. I'm not expecting much from him.
Will be a good test for Weircioch tonight..
In order for the Sens to even get a point tonight.. it must be defense by committee...
Boston is missing players... 1 top 6 and 2 role players more or less.. They still have a very good defense.
It's Lehner time... he needs to be exceptional for the Sens to get any points tonight.
Going to the game, finally.. it's been 3 weeks.. seems like forever.
I'll believe Methot is back in a couple of games.. when he is back. Anderson was supposed to miss 3 or 4 games.. and he has been out for a month...

#MapleLeafs have $10.95M annualized cap $ not on roster: Connolly, Komisarek, Lombardi, Armstrong and Tucker.”
Must be the first time in 5 years we have faced Boston's "Back-up"
So, 5 playewrs that have had their contracts "bought out".
Is Armstrong the sane player now in Montreal lineup, and how long has Tucker
been out of the NHL ??
Went to the last home game last season, Khudobin was in net, it was a meaningless game but the Sens did lose.
Hopefully they can bury him in pucks tonight!
GO SENS GO!
The kid is good. Seen him play a couple of times this year and has been real good. Let's hope our offensive roll continues. 3-2 Sens in OT, with Smith scoring the winner!
So anyway, big game tonight! Really hoping our recent goal scoring prowess can carry into tonight. A few goals against the Bruins can go a long way in this game.
Theres about 25 mins of Methot-man icetime to spread out into our Defence. I know Lundin draws in but hes not going to eat up alot of minutes I think. Hoping for big games from Weircoich, Benoit and Gryba. You gotta think Boston has taken notice of Gonchar's "Benjamin button" plays, so they will be all over the guy.
Another big team effort needed. And I think Kassian will get some good icetime tonight.
Not sure if I'm correct on this one but I believe Armstrong, Tucker and Lombardi are the buyouts meanwhile Komisarek and Connelly are on their farm team
Need to find a good nickname for Karlsson...I hope something does stick to him, like...
Things we cant use IMO.

Ya I've seen him play too. he is GOOD
Gotta laugh at Burke for his "I set the table and someone else eats the meal" comments. That's a lot of table scraps.
Somewhat close lol
Komisarek and Connoly in the farm
Lombardi, Burke decided to trade to Phoenix and retain $1.5 in salary
Armstrong and Tucker are bought out
When playing Boston I'd much rather have the "GOOD" in Khudobin over the "GREAT" in Rask
2- Spezza
3- Lehner
4- Turris
5- Silfver
6- Cowen
7- Weircioch
8- Anderson
9- Zibby
10- Sittler
what an excellent comment, a true reflection on the entire year.
Spezza gone... we are in trouble
Karlsson out ... we will never make the playoffs
Andersson out ... we may never win a game again
Michalek out... cant help
Now I see more clearly
Methot out... Stanley Cup here we come!
lol... touche!
Do you have any kind of an update on how Karlsson's recovery is going? Obviously I know he won't be back this season, but I'm just wondering where he's at. The last I heard he was out of the cast. Get well soon Erik!
And the last unofficial update I heard on Anderson a little less than a week ago, was not sounding good at all...
Spezza - out
Michalek - out
Alfie - last man standing
EK - out
Method - out
Andersson - out
We are without our best player at each position. And we roll on.
In PMAC we believe.
It's very true, every time one of these guys has gone down, I've had that sinking feeling in my gut, and every time, I've turned on the T.V. the next few games, and this team doesn't miss a step. If our dream teams of the early 2000's, when we were chronically underachieving had had this attitude, we'd have 3 or 4 other cup banners hanging from the rafters at the bank.
High ankle sprains occur commonly in contact and cutting sports and have been a nuisance in the NHL for the past few years.
The most recent Flyer to suffer this injury was Michael Leighton, who was given an estimated time to recover of 8-10 weeks for his severe high ankle sprain late in the 2009-2010 season.
Other notables that have suffered this type of sprain include Sidney Crosby, T.J. Oshie, Ryan Miller, Marc-Andre Fleury, Max Talbot, Kristian Huselius and Milan Lucic. Of note, Oshie had a high ankle sprain in his rookie season and was out of the lineup for 14 games before attempting an early comeback, which resulted in an extra 10 game absence for a total of 24 games.
The high ankle sprain does not typically cause a great degree of local swelling or bruising and generally does not “look that bad.” Unfortunately, no type of bracing has been shown to treat or prevent these high ankle sprains.
Couple points:
He seems so much more mature. He talked about how he's still learning the NHL game but every year and every time he's been brought up, its getting easier and easier to adjust to the level of play.
He also seems extremely confident. In the past he used to complain about little things that may have caused a goal against him. Now he takes it in stride and says "I'm working on it". He knows he's good and knows he's very close to being a legit NHL goalie.
The best athletes in the world are the ones that continue to improve throughout their pro careers. So many seem to stop working once they've made it. The best however are never satisfied with their performance and keep busting their ass day in and day out. A couple names come to mind; Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Michael Phelps, Steven Stamkos and....Robin Lehner??
According to capgeek, it's actually $12.75M in cap and $11M in cash.
www.capgeek.com/mapleleafs/
LOL!!!
We have a mighty $50k for Bobby B
That quote was from capgeek lol
and it mentions annualized cap $ so thats your $11mill figure lol
Yes - King Karlsson works perfectly - since he often has 3 crowns on the front of his Jersey
Tonight is Wiercioch to show what he can do. If he does well and I think he will, it will show how strong our future will be.
Look at Montreal last year, they were without Markhov and Gionta most of the season and they crap the bed. Lucky they had Price.
How about a Gordy Howe hat trick for Kassassination tonight. LOL
Add Martin Brodeur and Patrick Roy to that list.
You are comparing Lehner to:
- arguably the most successful athlete in history (Woods)
- the greatest basketball player of all time
- the most dominant olympian i've ever seen
- the leading goal scorer in the NHL
Are a LITTLE too ahed of ourselves? If Lehner ends up being close to as good as Anderson has been for us this year... I will be happy.
Not sure why Matthew Lombardi would be on their payroll, he was traded to Phoenix, not bought out.
EDIT: He was not bought out, but the Leafs retaine d 1.5M of his 3.5M cap hit in the trade.
Just comparing their work ethics
i would imagine they will be selling zibanejad gear by now.
dont know why your gf being persian had to be brought up
I'm assuming a sense of pride because of Zibanejads Iranian background?
I don't take it as racism or anything
I've had a sens fan buy a Schubert jersey just because my buddy was German as well
Boro is injured
The Sens and Leafs are interested in Stars’ forward Derek Roy. Sources in Ottawa advised me the Sens are actively searching for a top 6 forward...
Eklund has this also lol
Makes sense only bcause Roy plays Centre, something we need. Roy is UFA something we like, Roy is from Rockland, something we look for
King Karlsson works... King Henrik is Lundquist.
The Flash is Selanne.
What about Swedish Flow? He has some sweet hair.
Alfie and Chara are also beasts when it comes to training and work ethics.
Anyone knows if he can play wing? I wouldn't want to bump Turris off the 2C when Spezza comes back.
Spezza will be back in about 2 weeks
Turris
Smith
ZBAD
Regin
Dacosta
And you say we need a centre...
If BM was going after a top 6 forward I would rather it be a winger
proved me wrong from yesterday!
I have 4-3 sens with Gryba, Gonchar, Condra scoring and game winner to Benoit
3-0 sens. Lock it.
Unless there's a center or two going back? Regin/DaCosta? To be honest, I'd prefer a winger too...
Maclean has said he prefers Zbad on the wing
but I agree if Smith plays the way he is now he is a great 3LC
but I'm not sure if he has proven himself without Alfie.
Less minutes and average wingers does he produce like a 3LC should?
Just questions not tryign to hate on the guy
I'm surprised they could find 10 highlights for Colton Orr. Although he does still fight well for a pensioner.
Whoa there Apostle. No more 'Old Fart' references..... .I am one!!
Either 4-3 Ottawa or 5-1 Boston. Depending on if we come out flat or not. We are at home so I will lean towards the 4-3 score.
And this is the perfect game to have a guy like Kassian on your team. Glad we have a guy like him
3 goals from the back end, hope your right!
The game tonight is against Buff.. then I think they play the Bruins on Sat..
ah damn forgot they play buf tonight, but their next two after tonight are against boston
wow...
5 pints and a bumby bus ride later...I am READY for Sens and Bruins tonight.
Were riding an offensive high right now...hopefully that caries over into tonight. Im banking on a Greening, Alfie, and Zibanejad (hiccup) goals tonight...and not particularily in that order. damn..thats a hard word to spell.
hold the fort boys! 3-2 sens win! Kassian fights Thornton and Lucic...and not particula...dam n...partic-u-la r-ily in that order.
GSG!!
Haha awesome
Dead on! A lot of the people including Yost only see the errors. It would be interesting how many posters actually have played major junior or semi pro hockey and have an understanding of the WHOLE game. Yes players really fuck up when you are only looking for mistakes they make.

I hope PW46 to see if he can handle Lucic and Horton.
Boooo!
Where do see that. I thought he was taking a few days to cut down the teams.
damn. i guess lets hope he doesnt pan out to a chara 2.0
our division next year will have too many monsters
chara, sustr, myers

Very impressed with your drunken typing. nice work.
If that was on an iPhone, you deserve a medal.
Booo...urns!
Cowen
Bishop
Benoit
tinordi of the habs (6'6)
cowen qualifies for being probably the next strongest guy behind chara however he is still only 6'5..
I think there is a point where you are so tall that it is quite awkward to be a skater. The big Z is an exception, but to me I'd take Cowen and his physical dominance over Myers and his "playmaking" abilities.
I think I'd pass. Zibby is owning that 3C role right now, and there were always questions about Roy's character. Apparently puts puss before puck lolol.
St-Louis
Thanks in advance.
Go Sens Go
IMO, Best post of the day, thanks for the chuckle.
This in my opinion is the best site to find NHL streams. Just bookmark it and you should almost never have problems finding a stream.
http://forum.wiziwig.eu/threads/82177-NHL-Today!-March-21st
easy.
https://www.google.ca/search?q=прямая+трансляция+Бостон+Оттава
the first result will give lots of streams.
(pick the LetOn.tv stream)
thx
He has been better with every game...I was tellign a tonne of friends about him during the lockout, no one bought the hype...been getting a few "oops you were right" lately
GO SENS GO!
Pretty sure only Leafs fans are stupid enough to use Internet Explorer!
I say that because I still think he has potential. He needs to play with a little bit more confidence and start shooting the puck. I know he has the ability
Quoting AlfieforMayor11:
He looks extremely small and tentative...
LMFAO everyones problems...Nope life evidently was a lot easier for me today...sitting on my couch watching my nice HDTV instead of having to complain that I don't apparently know how to use google like yourself and having to watch a shitty stream.
What about the 3 on 1...?
(Mid-game post)
I sure hope Scott pounded the shit out of McLaren...
Quoting Tcharger-NHL IS A BUSH LEAGUE:
When I lived in Australia I had to suffer searching through google for NHL feeds... not as easy as you think. I feel for all those disconnected from local coverage
I will agree that it isn't simple...but is it honestly its not as hard as its made out to be here
What's the point of being a douche though and starting an argument online? Did you get bullied when you were younger? Just ignore it next time man.
Anyways, lets hope the boys have a big third here, even if we can steal a point id be thrilled.
True.
But I remember looking and eventually finding justintv during the BOS vs PHI series a few years ago... I've never felt so pumped
Wait.... Alfie scoring on Miller to send us to the finals.
Yes...because linking http://justfuckinggoogleit.com/ must mean I was bullied hahaha
second part, agreed 100%
Now that's ridiculous...
Go SENS GO!
Alright, so we're gonna get Stamkos-like stats with that line but you gotta think it will make teams think twice about fucking with anyone on our team.
I actually thought that game was pretty crappy to watch. No Power Plays, not much action, and not much scoring. Plus the end result is pretty infuriating.
No business being in the game? Were you even watching?
Yup, I'll watch em on tv but I won't go to a bruins game, you can usually hear a pin drop the games are so boring.
Not sure how lats got a coincidental with Thornton yet Sens get the only penalty on the scrum in the ottawa crease. Wtf
Also remember that I mentioned Roy's name about a month ago.
I miss you! Please come back! For whatever it was that I did, I'm sorry! Please, please play on Saturday.
I'll even make you a chicken sandwich if you play
Suck it Phaneuf
We need scoring! Roy is a solid player but I really don't think he would fit with our team, even if we needed a centre. We need a skilled sniping winger. I don't care who but that's what we need. Not a centre. We are absolutely loaded at centre. Infact it'll be a serious log jam once Spezza comes back which will be fairly soon.
Spezza
Turris (no, he will never be switched to the wing)
Smith
Zibanejad (will prob move to wing)
Regin
OBrien
And you people want to add a centre?? What??
Don't get me wrong, I think that Lehner and Bishop have provided super service to this team. Sens would be in the crapper if it wasn't for them. But, at this point, they don't need solid goal tending, they need stellar goal tending. Vezina goal tending. Wake your little kids up from bed "you've gotta see this" goal tending. That's what Andy brings.
Since when was >.940 save % not stellar. Goalies are not the issue. Sens fans need to understand that teams can lose. We just won 3 in a row, everything is ok.
Kind of hard to win a hockey game when you only score one goal...
And what is the deal with the no call on the lunatic Lucic during that whole scrum? Daugavins comes out with the penalty? Quite the bs call...as usual.
Anderson will play better but he's not going to win us many games if we only score one goal...
I still think stars resign him, I'd rather have ray Whitney personally but both of them are clutch performers.
I'd take Jagr over Roy.
Same
Remember a few years back, Alfie got the same surgery Michalek got this week and Alfie was back after 2 weeks.
The Bruins were sleeping last night and the scrap in front of your net and the treatement we served on Krejci woke them up. Next time, let the bears in their hibernation, please.
And we tought Thomas had our number and now, since he left, Bruins are 6-0.
Jag's is a legend! He can still play at a fairly high level. He would look awesome on the right side of Spezza or Turris! He would be the ideal deadline addition for this team.
Michalek and jagr have played very well together during international tournaments. Great forward lines for playoffs / next year ( when people come back from injury and if alfie decides to play one more year,
Michalek Spezza Jagr
Lantendresse Turris Alfredsson
Greening Zibanejad Silfverburg
Condra/Daug Smith Neil
Those are excellent forward lines!
Just keep in mind that Lalime also had gaudy stats but always let 1 stinker that would break our hearts. (in the playoffs). Plus we wont win many games scoring 1 goal. Need goal support.
Seems to be Lehner MO right now. He needs to fix that quickly.
I would love Jagr too but no way does he play on the 1st line, he's 41 and cant handle it anymore. He avg 14:00 ES with about 3:00 of PP time a night. Those are 2nd line minutes with #1 PP unit.
Although the Stars have 2 2nd lines and no real 1st line.
Would be a treat to see #68 in a Sens uni!
I would buy that #68 heritage jersey so fast...
Not sure there would be 3:00 PP time a game to give him. Ottawa is currently 4th least in PP time / gm at 4:50/gm.
For reference MTL is leading the league with just over 7 minutes in PP time / gm.
Also, if you look at the PP - PK / gm, Ottawa is second worst with a -1:35 / gm. That means, on average we are short handed for over 1 and a half minutes more than we have are up EVERY SINGLE GAME.
Yet we are still in a playoff spot. Good thing we have the #2 PK in the league.
Fine for playoffs but I agree Jagr is too long in the tooth to play 1st line during the regular season - even with us rolling those four lines and spreading out ice time. Maybe Silfverberg plays some of his shifts?
I'd also put Condra with Zibanejad and Silfverberg and let Greening bang and crash with Smith and Neil - that line is incredible.
It's you know, something I could have never fathomed. The guy is a living legend. Now before people jump on me with the whole "taking retirees like Kovalev" talk... Jagr is light years ahead of Kovalev. And this is a guy that took what 5 years off from the NHL to play around in Russia and probably could have had 2000 points by now?
Jagr and Alfie together on the same team would be very interesting. And think about what that would do to the team morale, knowing a player of his calibre would even consider playing in a small Canadian market.
In all our Boston matchups I haven't had the feeling of "Oh man these guys are out of our league". On any given night a Boston lead doesn't seem safe, but on the other hand our leads never seem enough either.
A playoff matchup between us would be very very tense as almost all games would be decided by one.
The Bruins don't score much, but they don't let in many goals either. Does this sound familiar?
Did we miss something? Did a trade break?
Very true. I can honestly say I haven't felt we've been outmatched in any game really. We've had some brain fart periods in some games so far, but overall we've shown we can compete with every team out there.
Nope, but I did mention this on Twitter earlier this morning...
#Flyers have apparently shown an interest in #Sens goalie Ben Bishop. Speculation suggests OTT looking for 2nd and roster player back. #NHL
Chirp tweeted that Philly interested in Bishop. Sens would want a 2nd and roster player. Just speculation, as nothing will happen until Andersons back anyway.
This possibility of Bishop going to the Flyers would no doubt help both teams, and I would not worry in losing Bishop, because Lehner has shown without any doubt that he is NHL ready !
Go for it Murray !!
this is a very telling stat
and I am sure this has been going on for a few years!
I could understand if we were the broad st bullies, but this is ridiculous,
we are not a dirty or intimidating team.
it should even out
REFS WAKE THE FUK UP!
both Bishop and a roster player for Daniel
Briere !
If it happens, we would fill our top 3 very well !
that being said, and If murray is asking for a 2nd then the more plausible scenario is
2nd + Foster(UFA)
TSN is saying Flyers may send Mezaros to Ottawa. It doesn't talk about Bishop or anything else.. but I would welcome back Mez....
Where does it say that?
Thats just pure speculation with no actual source
John Boruk of CSNPhilly.com believes that the Flyers should explore the trade market for 27-year-old defenceman Andrej Meszaros, who has one-year left on his contract after this season for $4 million.
Boruk goes on to state that there are a lot of teams that could use defensive help, like the Ottawa Senators, and Flyers rivals the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Rangers.
Found it

Yeah he's got 1600+ pts wow!
Only 12 more goals for 1000!!!
Would be nice to see that in a Sens uni!
I really dont like the idea of teams going after ex players, I mean the boat has sailed man, the birdge has burned, I think teams that do that look silly.
I know were in need of some D, but I just say roll with what we have, maybe a depth D but not something with a 4Mil price tag.
agreed! Mez is injury prone even if he comes here he will get hurt putting on his skates before even stepping a foot on the rink...
Spezza
Karlsson
Cowen
Methot
Gonchar
Michalek
Anderson
Its like a Disney movie waiting to happen

TOO FUNNY!
Quoting SensChirp:
HMMMMMMMM (kidding of course)
haha coming soon...
... The Pesky Senators (no flying Vs' in this one just some serious whoopass!)
You're doing it wrong.
:)
(smiley face in case you don't realize I'm just kidding with you)
I use Fly 65 myself, he flies out there, Fly slang for cool, fantastic idea on my part.
Lol this is old news! Came all out last year around deadline day lol
Who needs the moody baldy? Lehnzies and B-BShoppe are doing lights out for us. Trade "Raggedy" Andy asap and get us a forward or even some of those great desserts each city produces...
Lehnzies? Really?
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=418798
I think this tells you all you need to know about Maclean and his opinion of Lehner vs Bishop
Lehner is his preference
I for one would be shocked if Bishop is not traded by the time the draft rolls around
Id say deadline day, but that all depends on the health of Anderson
LOL yeah realized that after I posted it...Shows how much I look at his stuff...haha
But I just checked now and he's still very active, has he denied all this? And just keeps going?
Not sure if he has denied it, but he is for sure just keep going, hoping to hit his guesses enough to get more twitter followers lol
Hmm alright, sorry to derail but had to find out...
Ok back to Gonchar?, any news on him? havent seen any yet.
Expected to play tomorrow
just like to leave a friendly reminder to senschirp readers that you and I argued for silfverberg every single day during lockout convincing people he is the real deal and silfv>>>>>stone
TSN: Gonchar and Methot expected to play Saturday.
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=418818
He's played the required number of games. He is RFA.
I have to host my 9 year olds birthday party and can't make this but I'd be open to donating some money if you have any info on how to do so.
Chirp, perhaps you could add link or something for one of the loyal contributors?
good luck with the event Icy Surface, I'm sure you will have a tremendous turnout!
AMAZING AND FRANKLY -GOOD FOR HIM-most 17 year olds can't be bothered to put the lid back on the peanut butter jar. He's created one of the most visited hockey sights on the net.
Here it is. Good luck!

Are you saying that because Smith lost the faceoff against Bergeron that led to the winning goal?
A 3rd line centre losing a faceoff against a a #1 centre.. one of the best in the NHL? Imagine that.
They gave the Bruins all they could handle and the Bruins barely beat them.
What would be the score if the Sens were healthy?
Watching the pre-game videos showing all the players.. it really struck me how much I miss seeing Karlsson on the ice and Spezza & Andy..
I want these guys back.. but it won't happen with Karlsson this season. Damn you Cooke.. I hope you get yours on April 22nd.
We had better hope at least one of Gonchar or Methot plays tomorrow. If neither are available.. the Sens will have to go with 5 D. There is no one to call up..
Lehner starts against Tampa.
Sandy you really need to stop using that excuse, the only one who will probably go back to the AHL next year is Gryba, all the rest have been in the NHL for 2-3-4 years now.
Silf and Zbad only played a handfull of AHL games.
Wiercioch is an NHL rookie.
We have a roster of NHL players, yes, many rookies but NHL rookies.
Well we were healthy last season and went 1-5 vs them...with Andy in nets + our top guns.
BUT I would want to play them in the playoffs. Beat them and your chances improve alot!
Sorry Sandy picking on you right now...
Smith is our best faceoff guy by far, he takes 90% of the defensive faceoffs and crucial ones in the off zone. 3rd line 1st line doesnt matter, fact is he is our best and Bergeron wiped the ice with his face all night! We're not a good faceoff team without Spezza.
Spezza 57%
Smith 51%
Turis 49%
Zib 47%
Obrien 46%
Regin 44%

Once again, the inconsistency seems awful. This looked worse than the Lupul hit.
I'm sure someone will explain why this wasn't.
Bergeron, Tookie, is one of, if not the best faceoff player in the NHL. Smith plays 3rd line centre. There is NO Spezza to fill that role as you said... And right now Smith is probably better than Turris on the faceoffs.. but he is no match for Bergeron..
Silfverberg would probably be the only one of the BSens players who would have been called up.
And yes calling Smith, Greening, Condra et al.. AHL is not entirely correct, however they are about 2 yrs removed from the AHL and not fully experienced in the NHL.. they all still have a lot to learn.
And compare what the Sens had in their lineup to what the Bruins had with 3 rookies.. with protected minutes in a very experienced lineup.. when the rookies on the Sens are front and centre for the most part with about 5 really experienced players... in Alfie, Neil, Gonchar, Phillips & Turris.
That is unbelievable that there is no suspension on that play.
I guess it does matter who you play for.
That was a worse hit than Perry's as well.. and even though Perry is a superstar he still got 4 games..
It has to be who they play for. What other reason can you give that this is let go.
The Tampa player didn't see him coming. He hit him from behind in the back of his head with his elbow -- looked like he left his feet as well. Everything they want to get out of the game.

If I'm a team with a player suspend on a less severe hit.. I'm onto Daly to find out why this NHL is so inconsistent.
Can someone on here explain to us why there would be no suspension on this hit? I just can't see it..
Sandy you really need to stop using that excuse, the only one who will probably go back to the AHL next year is Gryba, all the rest have been in the NHL for 2-3-4 years now.

GRYBA is going nowhere. He will have to clear waivers next year if he is sent down. I guaranee you will lose him for Zero compensation.
