In the Rangers, the Sens face an opponent that has won four straight games and finally seem to be turning a corner after an up and down start. New York comes into tonight as the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference, just a couple points back of the 6th place Senators.
On Wednesday, Ottawa was finally able to get a struggling offence on track but had issues keeping the puck out of their own net. It's not surprising that Head Coach Paul MacLean would turn to Robin Lehner in this one.
Here is how the Senators are expected to line up
Michalek-Smith-Alfredsson
Greening-Turris-Silfverberg
Stone-Zibanejad-Neil
Daugavins-O'Brien-Condra
Wiercioch-Methot
Benoit-Gonchar
Gryba-Phillips
Puck drop is scheduled for just after 7:00 PM with the game available on TSN and on the radio at Team 1200.
- For those that missed it yesterday, the NHL has all but approved the proposed realignment from last week. It will mean some changes for the Ottawa Senators as they welcome a few new division rivals in the Red Wings, Panthers and Lightning. You can read all the details on realignment here.
darryl sutter turns calgary into a former shell of itself and then becomes head coach of a loaded team like LA and wins the cup.....
or i guess it could be argued that his dismissal was unfair and therefore it was sweet revenge.
I agree.
He's accomplished so much in his career already, and has nothing left to prove to anyone. I'm thinking he's at the stage in his life now where he wants to milk a team for as much money as possible, and settle down with a family in a comfortable location.
If I'm Perry (being 27 and really just hitting his prime), I'd go to the first sucker to throw a boatload of cash at me... Leafs, Rangers, or Philly.
Maybe if he does return, it can be a long winning streak at the right time, as we play the Bruins at SBP, and the Habs in Montreal on Wed, Sabres in Buffalo on Sat
the 16th.
If Anderson does not feel ready, we should again start with Lehner, as he won against the Rangers in MSG !
