Cowen Headed to Bingo

With his Spokane Chiefs eliminated from the WHL playoffs, one of the Sens top prospects is on his way to Binghamton to join the Senators on their Calder Cup run.

Jared Cowen will look to carry over a strong playoff run with the Chiefs when he joins the Sens AHL team later today. He is not expected to be in the line up for tonight's game.

The team in Bingo has had their fair share of injuries and could you really use some help on the backend. This is a great opportunity for Cowen to close out his season on a positive note and join a team that is on the verge of advancing to the third round of the Calder Cup playoffs.

Cowen registered 14 points in 17 playoff games with Spokane and was a +8.

Great to hear that he'll get some more exposure to some of his future teammates, as well as more pro experience. Can't wait to see this kid play for the big club next year, as the more I watch him the more I feel he may have been a huge steal in his draft year.

GO B-SENS GO!!!

Hoping the B-Sens finish off the Pirates tonight.

It will give Cowen lots of practice time until the next round begins.

I'm praying no games in Bingo on May 14th -- as I do want to go again.

Anyone know where or how we can watch the Bingo Games (without paying $10 per on the AHL site)?

If they can get there, from what I recall, the final normally gets broadcast by Sportsnet. Here's hoping!

Try --- http://www.ustream.tv/channel/pisf -- it's not the best picture but it's better than nothing.

The link Sandy gave you is pretty much the only stream you'll find for Binghamton games... otherwise it's 10$...

Great news to see Cowen going for Binghamton, can't wait to see him in the line-up... hopefully they finish off Portland tonight like you said :)

or maybe YOU can keep your crap thought process to yourself. It's not like we're the first people on the planet wanting to see something that's not loading on our $80 per month Cable bill.

I highly recommend shaw satellite. They carried several games that Rogers and bell didn't and the cost is significantly less...

Not sure about ahl games but if you can buy through other providers, it's a good bet you can get itnthrough shaw.

Portland making them pay on consecutive delay of game penalties.

With Weircoch out.. isn't that 5 of their regular D out of the lineup? That will start taking it's toll.

Enroth is in net for the Pirates... he's a good goaltender.

How about 4 - 0 Portland -- 4 goals in less than 15 min.
Lehner pulled... Brust now in net.

I'm sure the D has something to do with that.

Woof! 180° reversal... Sens are due for a rebound like what they did on Monday. Friday will be a good one.

I really hope Cowen doesn't develop into a player who only uses body positioning for defence. With all the size he has, he could be a bone crunching defencemen, I have a terrible feeling he's going to be as soft as a marshmallow on the ice. Cowen, please prove me wrong!

I think he'll be Phillips 2.0 which I guess isnt that bad, I would prefer a poor man's Chara but I dont think that will happen.

I would only suspect concussion symptoms or brain damage had he stayed.
